Shao Kahn will play a huge role in it and will be returning.

I just thought I should remind some of you guys. Back when MK Deception was being developed and MKDA was released, it was already confirmed that Onaga was the main villain. The staff said in the chat back then that Shao Kahn would play a huge role in MK7. Do you guys remember that, because I do. Fight Night 2002 I think they said that, and yes I know, alot of stuff changes, but still.....

The only thing now that we can be sure of for MK7 is that Sub-Zero and Scorpion will be there. Thats the only fact I know about MK7 plot wise. Of course it will be online once again. I remember the MK team saying that we haven't seen the last of Kahn ( when it came to MK: Deception), but I don't recall them saying he will have a large roll in MK7 :.\.

That's a "fact"? Scorpion wasn't in MK3.

It's safe to assume that MK7 will be a video game, a fighting game, it will feature characters in an MK setting, most likely won't be in arcades (for obvious reasons) and should be playable via a controller.

THOSE are more guaranteed than both Scorp and Subby being in MK7.

yes technically scorpion wasnt in mke but that wasnt the version midway really wanted to release (bigwigs wanted boon and co. to ship it before they was ready). and mk7 may or may not involve shao kahn. we know they like to change their mind alot.

It would be very cool if they somehow made a hybrid of Shao Khan and Onaga. There was no new threat hinted at (beyond the DK) in Deception. So the only logical step (much like MK4-DA) is to bring back an old rival and make him stronger. It seems to be the pattern the story is starting to follow.

Who said anything about MK3? Now Boon knows that Scorp is a tradmark character as well as Sub. Also he knows not bring back either of them would surely cause many fans to get upset

I was simply using MK3 as an example of an MK game that didn't have one of its iconic characters in the lineup. Yes, Scorp was quite the fan-fav even back then...

I don't recall the developers ever saying 'Shao Kahn will play a major role in MK7' but they DID say 'Shao Kahn is a powerful demi-god...don't expect him to die so easily'.

All I know is that if MK7 features a playable Shao Kahn i'm gonna do cartwheels through the streets.
