Does anyone else think Smoke's Teleport should have armor, I mean it's really frustrating when playing the wake up game with Cyber Smoke (Triborg)

Yes, and I don't think it even has to be the teleport, but he needs at least one armored special. Right now his defense is utter garbage, and his ex phase is ok to get out of pressure but it gets stuffed 9x out of 10, and you can get grabbed out of it lol

The teleport being armored would be amazing, but idk if people would like that since a single ex tele can lead to 30%+ combos, so maybe they could give ex phase a hit of armor so people aren't hitting us out of it every time we try to escape pressure with it

I'm mainly demanding it because a character has Quan Chi cheap armor and it really doesn't fit at all. Triborg's wake up game needs to get buffed no matter what.

I dunno, maybe JUST Smoke, but lack of defense is what balances Triborg out imo.

Because pretty much all 4 (definitely at least 3) deprive you of YOUR defensive options should you get knocked down. Cyber Sub and Cyrax have their "unblockable" setups, Sektor can end a combo to space you full screen into a free up rocket and break your armor with F2 (I think it's F2, might be B2) and Smoke can just EX Phase through most wake-up attacks for a full combo punish.

If you're maining Smoke, take advantage of your plus frames, and your ability to easily whiff punish.
Maybe, I'm not an expert on frame data n gameplay.
It doesn't look as spamable as MK9.

I agree, although Sektor has a good get the fuck off of me move with ex dd3, though it's unsafe, and i'm not sure if Cyber-Sub's ex slide has armor or not. Either way, I don't see Cyber-Sub as being balanced, although that is early speculation. I got bodied by a Cyber-Sub who I could clearly tell was lacking fundamentals (not respecting my options at all, jumping a ton, etc) and was simply winning because I didn't know what the fuck to do against his psuedo-unblockables, and that i'm new to Bo. Once he went to Lao who I presume is his main, I bodied his shit 5 games straight with Shinnok lol.

I don't feel like Smokes teleport needs armor though. if anything it should be his phase. It's still early though, we'll see what happens.

EDIT: Speak of the devil, new hotfix nerfing Triborg was released lol. http://community.wbgames.com/t5/Latest-Updates/HOTFIX-3-8-16/ba-p/1069291
