So.. Havik resurected the cloning of Shao Kahn...

Indeed Havik resurrected a clone, but I wasn't aware that Havik is now in control of him.
The clone could get up, check himself, beat up Havik, and walk off.

Errr... remember, ALL endings are NON-CANON until the next game is released... for now, Havik doesn't ressurect anything...

Don't ruin nice little speculation threads like that, it's a good subject.

About Me
out of ninjas, cyborg thugs, evil ninja robots, martial artists, martial artists with sharp hats, princesses, bodyguards with more than 4 limbs, undead movie stars, native american shamans, evil emporrers, gods and secret service agents, you say Stryker didn't fit in MK3?

Shao Kahn returns to his throne room to find another sitting in his place. the clone doesn't know he's a clone, but has Shao's memory of ordering the shadow priests to make one. the original claims the other is a clone, but so does the clone. after a brief scuffle, the guards can't tell them apart.... where is this going?
Shao Kahn single handedly created his clone via an artefact in secrecy. I think both of them know very well which one of them is the real one. It doesn't matter which one of them is the original one...
..but which one of them is the stronger to hold power. That is the true question. (they live in Outworld. Do you truly think that hereditary rights mean something where betrayal is common as hell?)

Very true.
It'll be interesting if Haviks ending does happen. The issue with the clone is that there are so many questions regarding it, that there are many possibilites to what could happen. We saw in the MK-DA intro that the clone looked real enough and I'm wondering if it has Kahns memories, powers, etc. Imagine what Kahn could do with two forms of himself in power. Or what if the clone was simply a dumb replacement and could be manipulated by another person into doing what they desired. If the clone also had Kahns power, then whoever controlled it could be wielding some unknown power and using the form of Kahn to misplace peoples attention. The real Kahn would be under threat having done nothing, though we know for certain he will eventually do something himself.

I can see Liu Kang losing a fight to the Deadly Alliance, but Shao Kahn? The clone must be weaker than the original. Shao Kahn did create it with a mysterious artifact, which could merely create an unmatched double of yourself, not an exact copy in every way. If it were created with matching strength, would his agression not be cloned as well? The clone would immediately fight the original for power, if it were. Therefore, I believe the clone shares absolutely no similarities to Shao Kahn's own abilities.
My theory is that Havik would indeed resurrect the clone, but die never knowing of his mistake. The clone would slay him indefinitely, either because of his evil relation to Shao Kahn or the fact that Havik may begin ordering it. I doubt Havik would return to Mortal Kombat soon. However, Havik never intended to rule it once he resurrected it, he merely wanted to restore the chance of chaos which was lost when Onaga was defeated. The clone may not even have enough strength to fight him, either...
Or, Kabal would slaughter Havik moments after removing Onaga's organ. He would then resurrect none other than Kano, who lost to the might of Mavado. Kabal would find this act even more beneficial, since it would outrage the possible future members of the Red Dragon that their former leader's accomplishments were erased. Kano would need a reason to return... He appears only in every odd game of Mortal Kombat as a kombatant. Since he is dead, I believe, what better reason than Kabal eating a heart?
Of course, then we are stuck with the fact that Kabal is a resurrecting machine, unstoppable to the will of anyone. Therefore, before he becomes the next threat to existence, Kano may kill him himself when Kabal constructs himself as the leader of the Black Dragon. Whether or not this would actually kill Kano too, though, I am unsure of... Onaga constantly resurrected his army, meaning their death would impend once his heart stops beating. If Kabal dies, Kano dies, I guess. Who knows, Kano may eat Kabal's heart, and eventually a chain of cannibalism leaks into the plot.

Why? There are no valid reasons that he can't do otherwise. Thats your opinion on Kahn, but I seriously doubt that Havik isn't avare of the possibilities. He is an intelligent senient, a spiritual leader. I don't think anyone with average intellect can be a cleric of chaos.
Why would be Shao kahn more powerfull than the combined strenght of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi? Quan Chi had the power to checkmate a god, and shang Tsung was the second most powerfull being in Outworld. Be it a clone or the real, Shao kahn would have been and has been sadly outnumbered and overpowered. Remember, his powers decrease as he is loosing his reign.
I think the clone was equally powerfull. Don't exaggerate Kahns powers simply becouse he is the most well developed boss, or becouse you like him.

he wouldn't becouse that means so many contestants for the throne. her created an equally powerfull clone of himself and escaped into the un-kown. The clone could rule, having Outworlds throne while he original rejuvenated. A few points:
-the clone really had every problem on it's shoulder to think about eliminating his creator. Like the war between his hordes and the shokan alliance with the edenians.
-having a much weaker Kahn would be strikingly realized in an instant, should an asasssination attempt was to be made. That would couse a hunt for the real one. And that was something he didn't wanted at that time.
-having a preoccupied clone what was surely to fall, the real Kahn was completely isolated untill his newest rise to power. No trails, the clone was convincing and equally deadly.

If it was a clone or not Havik accomplished his goal of creating more chaos. Who cause more chaos than Shao Kahn. If there is a clone and Midway is going to make it cannon, then there would be a power struggle then between the clone and original Shao Kahn. That would be cool! 2 Shao Kahns!!!!!
