So... UMK3 tower next week...

Well, looks like they're doing one after all. As I mentioned before, the sad irony is that none of the characters introduced in MK3 are even playable. So here's my guess for the tower:

Kano
Liu Kang
Scorpion
Sub-Zero
Sonya
Jax
Kitana
Mileena
Reptile
Ermac
Kung Lao

Now, since Mileena and Ermac were unlockable characters in UMK3, either could end up being secret battles. This is just my theory.

That's probably correct, I could see Sub-Zero in his UMK3 costume possible being a secret fight too, definitely gotta be him, Mileena, or Ermac though.

Good call about UMK3 Sub, considering he was hidden as well. I also wouldn't be surprised if Kitana is in her mournful variation just to have "faux Jade".

The MK3/UMK3 tower should inlclude Sindel and Rain.

As for the MK2 tower, Baraka should have been the kombatable NPC.

That's how the Secret Fight in the MKII tower was. It was just Klassic Kitana in her Mournful Variation

That's how the Secret Fight in the MKII tower was. It was just Klassic Kitana in her Mournful Variation


If they would have just made a green palette swap of Mileena's/Kitana's Klassic costumes from MKX I'd be totally okay with that.

There's an MKIV tower planned after it too. You can preview it as unearned Kombat Kard items. That's the last of the "classic" towers after that.

I suppose there's enough returning characters for a UMK3 tower, but for MK4...not sure.

Agreed, they really should have Sindel or Rain be the secret fight, it would be better to fight them than a character we can pick/fight anytime we want, imo. Same with the MK2 tower, Baraka probably should have been the secret fight, I know he wasn't a secret fight in MK2 but still, we can play/fight Mournful Kitana all day everyday if we want, so Baraka would have been less underwhelming as the secret fight lol

Right on. Baraka should've been the MK2 secret fight.

Sindel or Rain should be UMK3 secret fight (though technically Rain wouldn't count since he was only in MKT and home versions of UMK3)

I'm pretty excited about the Shaolin Monks tower.

MK4's should prove interesting though. Perhaps a subtle hint at future DLC? Maybe by the time it goes live, Fujin and Reiko will be revealed.

Tanya's release will probably coincide with MK4 tower.

Looking back at previous postings, my guess is that the UMK3 secret fight tower will be Classic Sub-Zero, and Kuai Liang will be a regular fight on it.

The MK4 tower would be great if we had Fujin...
They should have stopped at MK2. Not worth the incomplete tower, pissing off the fans even more that Kabal and company wont be in the game.

Silly NRS.
They should really put Rain in the tower since he was in UMK3. There's almost no reason why they shouldn't.
