I really love his X-ray, and i feel like he will super fun to mess around with his variations, and i can't wait to see how many different combos he can make with his grenades, he seems like he'll be pretty tricky to fight if the player knows him well, definitely one of my mains alongside Takeda and Kitana

He looks ok , & im sure he's not a normal guy . I feel whatever or whoever he works for is connected to the story heavy or the next Mortal Kombat heavy just because everything about him is a mystery .

I didnt understand the hype at first but i really liked him hatless and his voice actor is really good. The only thing i was confused on was why the fuck would a mercenary use a circular glass ball full of sand as an explosive?

I'm indifferent.

I don't like him, but that has more to do with me not being a fan of westerns or cowboys than anything. His moves and the way he's animated is top notch, but his design just isn't doing it for me. To me, Erron Black is my least favorite new character, but his animations are one of my favorites.

I really like the gunslinger archetype and it makes sense since outworld is the Wild West now. The gun tricks like the coin shot were better than anything I was thinking lol. Using outworld Magic and Eastwood voice are pretty cool too. The only nitpicky negatives I can mention are the bane mask and his look in general. I know he'll have a bandana alt and classic gunslinger getup.

I can't understand how people can say he doesn't fit when we have Robo ninjas, a vampire, a lizard man, a bug lady, and tons of other crazy shit.

I think he looks great. Love his design, love his moves, love his attitude and the voice, but I think his X-Ray is kinda lame. However, having the opponent's name etched on the bullet is badass and a very nice touch.

Plus, that Tarkatan forearm as sword is really sweet. So much better than having a generic sword. The whole mysterious cowboy-ninja vibe really works for me, and I'm frickin' stoked to play as him.

That's a thing I don't get. MK has an Earth (earthrealm) and other realms as well that have a whole lot of wild shit in them, pretty much anything can fit in this universe, I don't see why a bandit is so crazy lol

Anyway as someone who has never ever liked the western gunslinging cowboy thing besides RDR, im quite surprised to say I actually like Erron Black, especially his hatless variations lol

Things I don't like, hm I think the sand in his fatality doesn't look right, I like the concept, but the sand doesn't look as "real" as a lot of other things in the game. Everything else im cool with.

Oh btw I believe the sand was stated to be magic or something? So it isn't too crazy that he keeps glass balls of them around to use in kombat :)

I personally don't know why some people don't like the cowboy look. Maybe if they saw cool movies like Young Guns they'd change their minds. The Cowboy look is a part of American culture and no other place on Earth was like the wild west.

Someone made a good point before about the realms and that anything goes.

He looks awesome I am looking for ard to playing him the most now. Nrs knew how awesome he was hence why they waited so long to reveal him properly to is! I think he is going to end up being the number 1 new charcater for the game

I cant speak for everyone, but I can say it was just never something I took a liking to. Lol born and raised in the U.S too so the whole cowboy thing isn't foreign to me at all, its just never something that I clicked with me much, not even as a kid.

When I first saw Erron Black I knew he was going to be great and I was right. Love his gameplay, love his variations, love his voice, love his appearance and I love his fatality (seem to be in the minority here), but the thing I love the most is that it seems like every weapon he has (maybe not the revolvers) was found by Erron while he roamed Outworld. Just that one little detail makes him so much more amazing to me. I loved roaming around the different realms in Deception, so for Erron to have roamed one of the realms, found random shit and then used it as a weapon is just the best to me. Can't wait to learn more about him.

I honestly liked him better in the comic.

He was like... enigmatic and intimidating in the comic.

After seeing his gameplay it was kinda like, "Yep... that's a cowboy" when I feel like I was expecting more of a bounty hunter who looked like a cowboy? I dunno.

I feel like there wasn't enough fight in his fighting. Too much pistol slinging, not enough punching. Even his X-Ray... doesn't have an actual blow in it... just a single bullet? That would be like, a cool way to finish the X-Ray, but I think it kinda sucks as the WHOLE X-Ray.

BUT those are just my face value impressions. I don't hate him. Still think the game overall looks great. And it's not like I'll be forced to play him extensively, even if he doesn't suit my tastes. So no worries. He's different I guess.

But I did like him better in the comic. So as someone said, I guess he doesn't live up to the hype for me? *Shrug*
