There's potential for everyone. And when you see the least popular characters get a great makeover in 9 or X, you know there's hope.

Taven and Daegon are two such characters. If we had to have one, I'd rather have Daegon, because of his ties to the Red Dragon and the importance he has with the creation of the Black Dragon.

Tbh I don't think I have come across anybody who has an obsession with either of those two characters. That's not to say they don't have fans, but they don't seem to be as vocal as others or something lol

Anyway I think they could be redone and be pretty awesome. Take the concept of the characters, and kind of overhaul them and I think they could be pretty cool. Their MKA selves are forgettable though, but I don't think they can't be redeemed.

Why is this in the MKX session?

Cause they have been alive for thousands of years. There's so much potential to characters like these. Which is more than I can say about most Earthrealm based characters. The most Tremor could have done in his life is cause some earthquake.
Now, the demigod brothers have fought a war against Shao Kahn aiding heir father (as Taven remembers in his konquest), tamed dragons, lived in the Ancient most advanced civilization previous to its fall, competed in the precursors of Olympic games and are proven leaders. And the younger brother, Daegon, set up the most secret and powerful organization on Earthrealm, dating back thousands of years ago- the Red Dragon, an organization which knows about the very sacred secrets of the universe, older than masonry, and in contact with the most powerful being to have ever walked the realms- the fallen Elder Gods Shinnok, who Daegon used to frequently meet with in actual Hell!!

I don't find them bland more than Ancient Greeks found Castor and Pollux bland. They were awesome. Daegon and Taven seem wonderfully written characters for me, with tragic stories and motivations. Their movesets were somewhat uninspiring and that's what players pretty much hated, but Taven's time control was original and a variation with them actually summoning a dragon would beat anything in Mortal Kombat X. I'm still hoping for that

Obsession? More than Tremor?

Taven and Daegon maybe get mentioned...once a day tops. If that. Meanwhile, Tremor rantings and topics went on so much MKO had to migrate to a new server to contain it atl, and Ed finally threw up his arms and said "FINE! HAVE HIM! LEAVE ME THE F*CK ALONE!" for MKX.

Don't even pretend that people obsess over Taven and Daegon more than the obsession over Tremor. Not even close.

Yeah, thanks a lot. I wrote it before MKX came out, cause we didn't know anything about the backstories of the new characters.
