I have nothing but pitiful and blatant bias towards Ermac, so of course he's my pick.

He's the one that senses another force at work in the realms, so I think he should step up and take the mantle.

Sadly I'll be Liu Kang is his ending does become canon. But if he stays dead then I'll probably be Kung Lao or Ermac.

I'm not sick of Liu,never have been,never will be but I think he should skip MK7(still be playable,but not the hero).Hero for MK7 will be Sub,Kung Lao, or Kitana,Definetly not Ermac.I've always hated Ermac,Impossible to beat when playing against computer,but so hard to to control.

I say Kung Lao or Sub-Zero. They're popular enough and have strong storylines.
I can see Ermac becoming one of the major heroes down the line, but he needs more build-up.

No more Liu Kang. Not Shujinko.
And not Scorpion. He works better as an "anti-hero."

Shujinko, but I would rather have an MK game wiewing the events from the prespective of the evil ones. So, an anti-hero would be a nice touch, like Shang Tsung. Quan Chi is way too predefined, but tsung is opne and has history. Shao Kahn or Goro would be a nice pick too.

I'd have to go with Sub-Zero. His rapid changes and increases in power, the dragon armor, reforming the Lin Kuei, as well as finding out more about his history and the criomancers is all build up for something big. It would make no sense to keep him as only a support character to Lui Kang since, from the looks of it, Sub-Zero could snap him like a twig. So, I guess Sub-Zero will be the next big hero to save Earth.

The next big hero will be Shao Kahn and he'll save Earth so he may conquer it.

The next hero should be Sonya; we have never had a female hero and she is a badass. Would be good to see. If not Sonya then probably Scorpion or Sub. Peace

Liu Kang probably might reclaim his hero spot, although that would make it predictable again!

Ermac might play a pivotal role in the storyline probaly as the one who rallies earths warriors into battle. Coz Raiden has turned all badass now.

Hopefully Shujinko is killed off by then..

Maybe Sub-Zero. He has a good story. Liu Kang should STAY DEAD. Kung Lao is WAAY better than Liu anyway. But Jax is my favorite character. He should be the hero for a while. Actually, anyone is good, but for a good mixup, they should someone like Li Mei the hero. No one would expect it. No one would a girl to be the hero. Someone that's evil should become good and become hero. Just not Shujinko. He's like 70 and I don't know how he fights. (reminds me of Fujin...) Jax should be hero. Him, or Sub-Zero.

I just hope they keep him I really like the dude. What if he was able to unite the realms of chaos and order. Form a two realm army and then battle against the villians army?

Or He could be the new bad guy with his army. I just dont want them to toss out chaos and order realms. I like them and I want to see them play a more active storyline role.

I like the Idea of a female hero, and a evil perspective would rock.

Exactly my thoughts. Though i would prefer Sub-Zero over Kung Lao mainly because i like him more, and while Kung Lao's story is developed, its not as developed as Subs

No, no, they wont. but THEY SHOULD. Come On. He would be perfect. He has an inner struggle (CHAOS vs. the ways of ORDER). If he could settle this struggle he could form a 2-realm alliance and be an ultimate badass. That would be tight.

Hell if Ermac can fight the Chosen warriors and save them from being consumed by Evil in Deception then he can definitely become the next hero in the MK saga.

Liu Kang will definately not be the hero because his ending is definately not canon.Rayden is too busy beating around Shujinko like a red-headed stepchild to even give a platypus turd about Liu's dillema. plus, in his douschebaggy state, Rayden would see Liu dying as a form of weakness and not see him fit to reclaim his mortality. Liu's MKD ending clearly states that a "bolt of lightning crackeled through him" and unless Rain grew a fettish for wearing blue and white robes, Liu is screwed. the only way he's coming back is as Zombie Liu and Spirt Liu, two seperate characters.

PS- another hint of non-canonicity would be that the figure in the background of Liu's ending is wearing BRIGHT blue and white clothes... quite unlike dark Rayden. either non canon or the beginning of an imposter plot that would distract from the current who ressurected Liu plot

Well, if Sindel's ending from MKD is true, then she was the hero of that game.

And Kitana is the main hero's bitch.

Next Hero is Kenshi, He is Great
