Lets discuss the whipping boys and girls of Mortal Kombat! These characters deserve our support. We should give them our pity, sympathy, and.....bitching. Seriously, they need major counseling or a miracle cure to fight their illness. They're all used to being used and abused, yet they keep coming back for more. This crosses the line to addiction and is now a major problem. What will it take for them to get help? You decide!!

Who would you consider to be a whipping boy or girl? Why? Whose whipping boy/girl were they?

What or who could possibly save them from their pitiful states?

Here are my picks:

1. Reptile- I personally think that he is a masochist(not in the sexual sense of the word). I mean he just has to be controlled by someone or he will, literally, go crazy. After all the lies and crap that Shao Kahn put him through regarding his race, Reptile shouldn't want to have anything to do with him ever again. So why is it that when he finds out that Shao Khan is dead, it sends him over the edge? Hell, he should be grateful that someone killed the bastard for him. If that wasn't bad enough, the only reason he serves Nitara is because he NEEDS a master. He's been used Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Shinnok, and Nitara. He's now the vessel of the Dragon King. Enough is Enough! He needs to grow a backbone and stick it to everyone who's given him crap. I also believe that Khameleon may be his saving grace. She could help him go back to his Zaterran roots. After his stint as Onaga's vessel, I hope he reverts back to his old self, kicking ass and taking names(the names of the "masters" who used him like an old dust rag).

2. Smoke- My heart breaks for him. For him to be made into a cyborg without his consent is horrible. The worse part, I think, is that he still retained a part of his soul. It would hurt less if he were living in blissful ignorance(not remembering Sub-zero,etc.). He's locked up in a dungeon for YEARS doing nothing. Noob-saibot comes along and frees him, but there's a price. He's forced to work with Noob because Noob tampered with his programming. What kind of freedom is that! Also, having a stranger or enemy tamper with your programming is just plain wrong. Noob wants to use to help create an army of cyber-demons so he could rule the Netherrealm, so where does that leave Smoke after his plan is a success? Will he be turned off once his usefullness is completed? I think his soul may start to fight with the programming, but that might not be enough. I'm thinking that Sub-zero might be his salvation. Sub-zero could tear him away from Noob-Saibot and perhaps establish him into the new Lin Kuei. Maybe he can become Sub-zero's right hand man. I want he and Sub-zero to team up against Noob-saibot and stop him from building his cyber demon army.
