You Prefer To Understand What Happened After MK:De ??
Or you prefer to understand HOW IT ALL STARTED ???
Or the prequel idea should be left fot the next adventure game after SM pop out?
I seriosly want to know much more about how the tournament has started what happened in that time...Who was those heroes that has fallen to protect the earthrealm 9 times ???Who was the (evil) heroes who has win the tournamen 9 times ?What was the story? With one word everything.

p.s. sorry 4 my terrible english lol

An MK prequel would not be MK7, MK7 would have to follow from MKD, the sixth game, and continue from that.

But there is nothing to stop them making an MK prequel as a seperate game, Street Fighter did this with the SFA series, which was supposed to be set between SF1 and SF2.

I would be interested to see a one off game dealing with past events, and featuring characters like the original Kung Lao, Takeda (Shirai Ryu founder) and perhaps a young Bo Rai Cho (hopefully without the unfunny puking/farting, though keep the drunken kung fu). I think it would be cool to explore the background which eventually leads up to MK1.

It has to be a sequel. It wouldn't make sense for them to make MK7 a prequel. Prequels can be left to the spin off games, like Shaolin Monks.

It'd be nice to have a prequel set in the ancient times back in the days of the original Kung Lao. It'd probably feature the likes of Taja, siro and Vorpax from the MK Konquest series. Or there could be one that is set in the time of Kahns takeover of Edenia or some of the previous Mortal Kombat tiurnaments.

Yeah, I agree with that. Prequels should be left for the side games.

But I'm not sure as to what type of sequel I have in mind. I think the Dragon King plot might have been pushed a bit early, so it'll be a tough one to build on that.

I respect ur opinnions, but i disagree with that, that the prequels should be left for the side games like MK:SM.
I really want to play and i really want to know the heroes of all the sides of the past tournaments..
Evil,Good,Neutral etc...
We can see as someone said before me Bo rai cho, but we can see young Shujinko and know him better we can see younger Goro ,Gorbak the older brother of Goro ...baby Kintaro (im kidding). We can see whats the deal with Onaga and Shao or we should just see when Onaga ruled the Outworld??Am I wrong?U get me.And left to see whats the deal between Onaga and Shao in the intro of MK 7 ...
Im tired right now but if someone agrees with me pls discuss deeper what should we see in that prequel to MK..Should it start with the first tournament ever and then up to the 10th tournament - actually the real MK 1 game...

Well, prequels are almost always considered sides. It's for that very reason that MK:SM isn't called MK7 or MK:Mythologies as MK5

Usually the number goes up when the story progresses, so I don't think they would do anything retro for MK7

I think a sequal that would end the series with an epic storyline and a confrontation that would end Mortal Kombat would be the best way to go. But Boon&Co. would have to deliver to pull it off
