What to update about Fatalities (Please Read)
First I'll start off by saying maybe each person, if they were to use a 3 Fatality system, they could do something, to make each Fatality different, where the Fatalities will be close, sweep, and far.
I'm fine with 2 Fatalities, don't get me wrong, but I want better Fatalities. Let's name all the bad Fatalities from MKD, shall we?
Now before you all read on, I understand that everyone has their own opinions, and don't get me wrong, some of these Fatalities I like, but either have been used before, or completely unoriginal. That being said, here are top 15 things I think should be changed, deleted, or have a character switch.
(This is in no certain order)
1. Kobra's Super Kick - By far the worst Fatality in the game. No thought put into this one at all.
2. Kabal's Vertical Slice - Come on now, a 9 year old could of that of this one. Maybe a good Fatality, but could of been better.
3. Kobra's Heart Rip - Maybe it's a Black Dragon ritual, I'm not sure, but it has been used too many times, although Kobra's heart rip is the best one.
4.Bo Rai Cho's Farts of Fire - Although I find this Fatality rather comical and have no problem with it, the problem of the matter is both of Bo Rai Cho's Fatalities are the same, and have the same basic outcome. In other words, it could have been better, but recalling back to MKDA days, it could have been worse too.
5. Liu Kang's Fireball - There is nothing more to say about this Fatality other than poor. Animation is bad, the idea is bad, the Fatality is bad.
6. Smoke's Invisible Beatdown - This Fatality would be cool, if I knew what was going on. What exactly did he do? It could be so many more different things, so instead they make you not see it and make you think about it. I don't like being left hanging in suspense.
7. Jade's Horizontal Slice - You can tell that this is one of those last minute Fatalities, like Kobra's. No thought put into this one, just put in so they can release the game.
8. Nightwolf's Decapitation - Taking us back to the days of old. Not the worst Fatality, but far from the best.
9. Nightwolf's Splitting Headache - Kung Lao anyone?
10. Hotaru's Multiple Neck Snap - Cool Fatality, but I honestly want to know how long it took them to come up with this. Sorry Midway but, back to the drawing boards with this one.
11. Ermac/Kenshi's Tear Apart - I put this in one spot only because they are basically the same thing. Ermac's is cool and so is Kenshi's, but one of them should have kept it and the other one should have used something else. I know it's hard to come up with stuff for Telekenetics, but if you think harder, something might pop in next time.
12. Havik's Feast - This has to be one of the comic relief Fatalities in the game. Although I enjoy this Fatality and it being highly original, it is just not executed well. He should not eat the person's arms like they it is corn on the cob. Re-animate this Fatality, and I'll be happy.
13. Scorpion's Head Rip - I do think this is a good Fatality. I think it had a good animation, and it was a change with him grabbing his spine instead of going from the head. I don't not however think this fits Scorpion. Sorry Scorp, but leave the head-ripping to Sub-Zero.
14. Li Mei's Brutality - People wanted the Brutatity to come back and the Friendship and everything. I don't think this is the way we wanted it back. It makes no sense. She punches her 7 or 8 times, backs off, and the person for some reason starts to shake and then explodes. I would like to see a Brutality as a Fatality in future games but none-the-less, back to the drawing boards with this one.
Last but not least ...This isn't much of a change in one specific Fatality, but an addition.
15. Scorpion's Toasty - I know we all miss that Fatality. His Harpoon Fatality was good, but how much better would it have been if he tore off his arm and leg, took off his mask, and set the opponent on fire. I don't know about you people, but I would have liked that better. So in honor of you Scorpion, I make your Harpoon Fatality, number 15. Bring back Toasty.
I don't want you all to come on this board now and flame me. This is my opinion, and I understand that everyone else has there own too, but just think about all of these. Think about how they could be better.

Sorry to double post and everything, but I needed to post about what I think should be changed about the Fatalities.
I think they should spend more time thinking about them. The Fatalities need more originality. It seems that some of the Fatalities in MKD they spent no time on at all (ie:Kobra, Jade, Kabal, etc.). I just want better quality Fatalities. I don't want them to just rush it. If they can't think of anything at the time, just wait and think. I'll use Kenshi as an example.
As we all know, Ermac already a Fatality where he telekenetically tore his opponent in half. So for Kenshi they should have either used his Fatality from MKDA, or just thought of a complete different one. If they wanted to do something where he rips them in half, then they could have used something along the lines of this:
Kenshi starts off by pulling out his sword and the sword starts to glow red. He does a vertical slice up his opponent's body as it leaves a glowing red line from where he cut. He then rips his oppenent in half from where he cut.
Something along the lines of that. I'm sure they could use something better than that, but that's just the first thing that came to my mind.
I just want more originality in the Fatalities. More originality and better quality. That and don't give a character a Fatality that makes no sense towards him. Like Scorpion with the head rip. He has never done that before, why would he start now?
Please Midway, don't rush MK7. Think about Fatalities. If you need help, hire me or something. I am a creative writer and take many classes in school for creative writing. You need to think about what you are doing, not just throw the stuff out there just to get the game out.
