Which guests would be most worthy of a second appearance?

If we're gonna get guests in future games (not sure it's an "if" however), then I see no reason it couldn't be one (or more) that we already got.

My first choice would be both the Alien and the Predator since I like them equally, but mostly if we don't get Baraka as DLC for MKX (I've already explained why in the third poll thread). In the Predator's case, I also just want it to get all of it's designs from the movies so we can see every Predators fight one another. If we get those plus Baraka as DLC for MKX though, then I'm fine with the Predator and the Alien not returning.

Second would be Freddy, so he can get the two things he sorely lacked in MK9: Dialogue, and Robert Englund's likeness (and only one glove). The Freddy vs Jason angle doesn't matter to me as much as it used to, though, so I don't feel he needs to return in MKX in particular. Whether he appears in MKX, a future MK game or a horror-themed fighting game, I just want him to get what he lacked in MK9.

Third would be Leatherface, though there's not much that needs improving. They got him right for the most part, and we even got to see him take on Jason, the Alien and the Predator. All he lacked was alts (these three designs should not have been variant-exclusive) and an outro where he makes a mask out of his opponent's face.

Fourth, Jason. Like Leatherface though, there's little that needs improving aside from the lack of alts.

The only one that needs that stay the fuck out of any future games imo is Kratos. Unless Sony can cool it with the special treatment.

About Me

Well, you all got your Tremor now. Can we finally move on?

None, period.

And I love Predator - this marked the first time in any game that I was looking forward to a guest character appearance. He was the reason I bought KP1.

But none. It's bad enough that we are going to continue to have guests taking up spots on the roster...they don't need to keep coming back. One and done. Guests never have and never will belong in MK, but since they will be force fed to us, they should at least change it up and not recycle

Eh, while I'm not against guest characters, and am of the opinion that Leatherface may have turned out better balance wise than anyone in the damn game, I'd say there isn't a need for another appearance. I feel like the term "guest" usually denotes more of a one off appearance anyway.

I rather see an underrated MK character with pumped up appearance and fighting techniques than any lame guests.
ONE guest is more than enough in a mortal kombat game.
I hope they learned from the mistake and won't waste time with guests in future games.

Instead they should make an entirely new fighting game with horror characters if they want to advertize warner sponsors.

Obviously he won't return because of exclusivity but IMO Kratos is the most fitting guest character MK has had. Jason I would like to see return simply because I love Jason lol

I'm generally not a fan of guest characters whatsoever, but I don't mind the idea of Kratos as much as I do the others. He had a reason to be there, as a Sony bonus exclusive, that made a lot more sense than the misguided "MK is all about blood and murder" justification that the other picks have. An extra character on a single platform's version at release is also a lot less frustrating than waiting months and months for well over a year for post-release content, then having only half of it being relevant to the actual franchise.

That said I don't think he should necessarily return, especially if the next God of War game has a new protagonist. Sony has other characters, as does Microsoft.

Batman.

The thing about Kratos is, he was fun to play as. It's his special treatment that was the problem. Only a few characters could kill him satisfyingly. Plus, why bother having him scream during fatalities if his mouth remained close? Sony was secure enough about his "badass" image to let him scream, but not for him to open his mouth while doing so? Those were my gripes with Kratos. They shouldn't bother with a guest whose owner is overprotective of. Did Kratos really boost the PS3 version of MK9's sales enough to justify his inclusion and the special treatment that came with it?

(For those who don't know, Kratos received preferential treatment when on the receiving end of fatalities and X-Rays in MK9. Didn't show as much fear if any during certain fatalities (like Ermac's pest control one), didn't get inflated when Rain chugged him with water, or get an oscar shoved in his splitted head by Johnny, Mileena didn't chew on his severed head, and as mentioned above, Kratos didn't open his mouth during fatalities and X-Rays.)

Anyway, one problem each guests save for Kratos had was not getting their own stages. If a guest's series has any memorable backgrounds, it's a waste not to have a stage based on them, imo.

Just imagine the Alien and the Predator fighting atop the AVP pyramid with hordes of Aliens and Predators also fighting in the background. Damn that would have been great.
