With the team up of Midway and Epic games, it's possible that MK7 may use the Unreal 3 rendering technology. Below are a few screens produced on the Unreal 3 engine. this will also give you a ball park of what the next-gen consoles will be capable of. Try thinking of MK with these graphics.

Another cool thing is with the U3 engine glitches wouldn't occur as often. on a side note I noticed that in Unreal Championship 2 is gonna have a few MK characters. It would be cool to see unreal characters in MK, lol put Malcolm in MK and make one of his fatalities "Redeemer" *Gets far away and shoots a nuclear missle at one of the characters* :p.

First, the game won't look like it's on the pictures. Count on it.

Second, by the time MK7 comes out, there will be better engines given the speed that our computer graphics development goes. But sweet anyway.

The U3 engine is still in developement. So when it is released, it won't be too far off from the next-gen consoles. Also, the PS3, and XBox2 will be using technology similair to the G5. That is the same thing that the Unreal 3 engine will run on. So, it's a pretty close ball park of what the next-gen games will be like, including MK.

I sincerely doubt it.

The U3 engine is designed mostly for FPS games, not for fighting games. Plus we all know MK too well by now...even though it will advance from its previous incarnations it will still be years behind the times with other fighting games. And i'll probably still love it.

The nature of the Unreal engine is extremley versitile. Letting itself be used in a number of games. The Unreal 2 engine was used for UC2, and from what I've seen, it handles hand-to-hand quite well. But, I can see your point. It's a slim chance, but there is still a possibility.

MKDA and MKD models were made in Maya. Games like Unreal Tournament 2004 incorporate models that were made in Maya, but rendered with the Unreal 2 engine. And since Midway has a liscence to use the Unreal 3 engine, (assuming Epic would still have the ability to use Maya as a building tool), all that's necessary would be to make models in Maya and let the graphics engine do the rest.
