Originally the Sub-zero brothers are said to be racially half American-Caucasian (through mother) & half Chinese-Asian (through father) but canon now also states that their father's blood is of Cryomancer/Outworld origin? Dialogue between Skarlet and Kuai Liang in MK11 confirmes that their Cryomancer blood is of Outworld origin. Is the father mixed race of Chinese-Cryomancer? or full-blown Outworld Cryomancer? Is he even Chinese anymore? MK origin stories are confusing now.
