That would be really cool, except that that comic shows Kitana as some kind of teen, while Sindel's MK3 ending indicates that Kitana is 10 000 years old, the same amount of time that Sindel had been dead.
Maybe that concept of a ruler looked awesome and isnce it wasn't part of any canon story, they decided to "borrow" the design?
Still very cool though.

First of all, that comic is by Malibu, none of their series were canon just right off the bat.

Second, it also had the Lin Kuei in it, working for Kahn to attack Edenia which makes no kinds of sense, AND Shang Tsung, who wasn't even born yet in canon.

Also, there's a statue of Jerrod in Edenia in Deception Konquest, (beheaded, with the head lying at the base). I know the graphics aren't very detailed, but the head looks bald, so I'm going to assume until they change their minds and depict him otherwise, that he was not rocking the bearded Conan look.
Anyway, Drahmin was a "warlord" and Jerrod was a peaceful ruler who would've gone to Heaven. Buuuut...as plot twists go, IF Drahmin did turn out to be Jerrod, and IF they gave a decent explanation for how it's possible that Jerrod was evil all along and Sindel never noticed or anything, I guess it'd be a kinda cool idea. Those are some big Ifs, though.
