MK Klassic costumes

Why is it that the MK1 body garbs in MKA KAK is actually MKII?
The same with the MK9 Klassic costumes for the ninjas?
MK1 ninjas diddnt wear Quilted attire at all, thier rather featureless as shown in play, selection screen and ending.
MKII is when they wore quilted, can someone explain?

The MK1 outfits actually were quilted. It's just difficult to see in the game because of the lower quality of the sprites.

You can make it out a bit in the Test Your Might sprites and endings:

oh, thanks i see, but still seems strange seeing the quilted mk9 costumes as even if the originals were, it doesnt really help the memory due to the games graphics hehe
