MKs exemplars of earthly cultures
Incorporating copied, ancient Greek, Egyptian and Chinese mythology (to name a common few) into the way of life of the MK universe is a paragon of our worlds philosophies. Imitation of lore is the basis of what foreign realms were built on to advance over millennia. Multicultural script and dialect being the fundamentals. To us, in a nutshell it's just perceived as people talking in reverse, but there is more to it.

OK, so what's your point?
This reads like an intro to a cultural studies paper, rather than a discussion starter.
Do you mean how Raiden is every Earth culture's thunder god as interpreted by that culture (the reason Nightwolf calls him Haoka). While that is interesting, we already know it, so what's left to discuss? I feel you have a point not yet made, and i want to give you the opportunity to do so.

It's simple, cultures of this world inspired the other realms lifestyles and vice versa. MK borrowed facets from different ethnicities to make MK what it is (which makes elements of MK a bit unoriginal). For example, mummified army of the dragon king was ancient Egyptian and Chinese legend, in one. I bring this up because it's based anywhere else but Earthrealm. While there is generally nothing wrong with minor replicating, how about more of what we have never seen before?

You make it sound like this is some groundbreaking concept when it's always been that way to some extent since the series began 22 years ago.
There was a four-armed non-Earthrealm creature who reigned as the champion of a Shaolin fighting tournament for 500 years.

Clearly was not intended. I won't be drawn to hypocrisy because there was good inventions in MK that don't revolve around culture that deserve a lot of credit for creativity, like the Shokan you brought up.
