It has never been established that MKSM isnt canon. As far as we know, the overall storyline development of that game IS canon, not counting the deaths, which are the ONLY thing they specified were just done for fun, those are not cannon.

The entire amulet confusion, the heroes ceremony of honors, the tarkatans assault, Tsungs quest, Kung Laos and Liu Kangs problems, etc etc etc, are all considered canon whether fans like it or not. Even Kitanas spell thing, though that’s still debatable. Mk is after all, famous for retcons.

MKSM is considered a canon game.

I have also never heard of MKA not being canon. It is a canon game, only that it was poorly developed. It is, after all, a game that has the same story of Mk3. smile

MKSF was intended to be canon, but it is likely that Ed Boon and John Tobias decided to leave that game as un-canon, until some elements or characters are taken out to todays light. It is also debatable among fans. smile

No, they said MKA was non-canon. I think Boon said it, due to the fact that he had nothing to do with the game.

Hmm, its possible I guess. Though canon or not, it matters little because it was just a Mk3 storyline an all.

I don't know where you're getting ideas like this, but Ed Boon most certainly had a lot to do with MKA. It's story IS canon. It's just that the events that take place in the intro are not entirely canon.

Blatantly non-canon not really worth mentioning.
