i feel that the newer mk games like mkda, mkd, mka, mkvsdc are a bit sluggish compared to mk, mk2,mk3,umk3,mk4,mkg, and mkt. i think the run button made things alot faster which i enjoyed.

for instance mk4's reiko was a beast but in mka he felt very toned down to the point where i only play as him when i dont want to play as the ninjas.

other characters i feel have toned down are cyrax, sektor, nightwolf, fujin, shinnok among many others. the lack of the run button makes things feel slower and the moves get taken out and get replaced with crappier ones that doesn't help. here are a few examples.

reptiles forceball, cyrax's green net, sektors homing missle, among many other moves that get taken out and get replaced.

does anyone notice the speed difference besides me and do you notice the lack of old favorite special moves. hopefull mk9 will be alot faster than it's counter parts and will bring back some old fav special moves.

YES! I definately agree with you! MK3 and MK4 were just perfect, it was just BEAT TEH CRAP outta the other guy, but the following ones, as good as they were, at first i thought it was just crappy dancing...
But yeah, I think they should definately kick it up a notch...
I think they set themselves in the good direction w/ MKvsDC, tho...

Have you ever played MK1? It's sluggish as hell

But yeah, these new games need to return to the fast paced, action pact fighters they once were. Bring back 2D gameplay
