The random crap that the (MK) characters say is kind of really dumb. I think it's getting old, and kind of annoying. The only one who does that should be turkey Liu Kang

I agree, but in the sense that those noises should only be confined to special moves. Not everyone needs to do that shit either.

During the MK1-4 era, they only said that stuff during special moves, and they had powerful grunts and shouts when they attacked normally, and when they ran in MK3, they had that cool "REEEEAAAAAARGH!" aggressive vocalisation.

In MKD-MKA, they had gobbledeegook shit for every single move. Carlos (I think it's carlos) would be going "UTIIIIIIIE!" "WHOGANGANGEERY" everytime you kicked and punched.

It took a LOT of the power out of it, and made it kinda pathetic. There's nothing wrong with the cheesily comical dark stuff that MK was forged out of, but MK recently has been more cheesy-pathetic than cheesy badass.

I haven't checked or played MKvsDC, so I can't comment on their noises this time, but that's something that's been bothering me in MK of late.

Are you suggesting that Raiden shouldn't have his classic flying gibberish sound effect? 'Cause that's just plain blasphemous.

I seriously disagree if you are referring to sounds made in the the special moves/fatalities.

I can kind of agree if the noises are used for every single kick or punch that is done in the game because that would get annoying...but this, I don't remember ever happening in any of the games.

I love the weird sounds the characters do with their voices. It gives them so much attitude (plus its fun)

Rayden's torpedo, Sonya's vertical bicycle kicks (plus her MK3 energy ball), etc. are all cool.

I do agree the only one making weird noises through all the fight should be ONLY Liu Kang, and I think they balanced that pretty well with him in MKD and MKA.

Is it the same in this new game?

Actually, I'm extremely disappointed with Liu's sounds. He has several famous Jeet Kune Do moves in his fighting style, several instances where he absolutely NEEDS to be making the "Woo-tah!" noises, and the only time he EVER makes them is the Bike Kick! This guy isn't the real Liu Kang, he's Robin Shou. I want my Bruce Lee clone back, dammit.

That said though, Raiden does have his classic body torpedo screams from MK2, Sonya has her own silly bike kick babble, and several Sub-Zero and Shang Tsung moves have magic words gibberish. All of which is awesome and absolutely fitting for those characters, and should be there in every single game they're in from now until the end of time and to hell with anyone who disagrees.

The Jibba-Jabba is present in real life martial arts fights as well, I don't see the problem...

They should keep it. Taking it away is stupid. Raiden's famous "guess what I'm saying" jibberish that he makes when he performs his flying move is a classic, you take that away, you take away something from the heart. And you can't do that now can you?
I think he means the more stupid gibberish (ie the only lines any KAK says. Is there any translation for that?) that neigh EVERY character has. I mean, just because Motaro loses two legs doesn't mean he automatically loses his sorta cool roaring, or Kintaro's badass roar. Hell, I'm still wondering how Liu can have a low pitch hit noise AND generic Bruce Lee noises. It's illogical.

Maybe make characters say real lines (i.e. Sorpion's Hellfire, he shouts "BURN!")

I agree with Token ("gobbledeegook shit" LOL!)
I liek the noises they made in MK3. Like the running sound they made and I really love the scream they made when they other person did an uppercut punch. It sounded increadible and real. The sounds nowdays are really wierd and different. But I like it. They should keep the same noises but maybe change/tone down some of it. It's just cool and funny to hear them make noises while fighting. (not for every puch/kick though)
