Stages of Saurian De-evolution

I think that the stages of de-evolution for the Saurians start with an invisible humanoid appearance (which is their natural form) with not many defining features, but instead take it from other races/people. Khameleon (and Chameleon too) is an example of this stage. In this form they had the ability to use a variety of powers (this explains C/K ability to use the moves of other ninjas) and couldn't use any reptile-like abilities. The second would be very human-like (think MK1 Reptile) and had the ability to use the abilities of others, albeit much more limited than in the first stage and this trait would later dissapear in this same stage, covering why he didn't use other ninjas moves in MKII or MK3. Also in the early days of this stage, he couldn't reptile-like abilities which would later change as he continued his de-evolving.

This also explains why K/C/R didn't/don't have any amphibian/reptile powers. K/C somehow didn't de-evolve much (or all) in the MK series for some reason; I think this might be a lack of exposure to something.

Will update this page provide more back-up to my theory. Poke as many holes in it as you see fit! tongue

The only hole I see is that MK1 Reptile used other's moves because he was considered "merged" Scorp an Sub.
But an interesting theory nonetheless.

MK1 Reptile's moveset has never been actual canon. If they did a Shaolin Monks or MK9-style retelling of JUST MK1, you can bet he'd have the acid spit, forceball, and slide instead of the spear or freeze.

Nor have they ever confirmed that Male-Chameleon is a Saurian. They've never given him any story at all except to say that he's Kahn's greatest warrior or his bodyguard or something very vague and generic. Personally, I like to think he's another experiment Kahn or Shang cooked up like Ermac and Skarlet.

I do kinda like the idea that the see-thru skin on Cham and Kham is what their species's fully evolved form looks like, though.

I do realize that Reptile was originally just a combination of the two, but that was before K/C and the Saurians were introduced. And to RazorsEdge, I know that little to no information on Chameleon is known nor is any speculation confirmed by the developers so far, but to the fact that K/C are pretty much the exact same characters besides gender has to mean there is some sort of connection between them. Also for Reptile, I am just trying to connect his ability to use other ninjas moves in MK1 to K/C; I think this could easily explain a bit of his backstory without retconning anything. Thanks for responding!
