I liked MK4 a lot. Now don't get me wrong, for todays time, the gameplay sucks, but back for its time, it had superb graphics, awesome FMVs, good selection of characters, nice super moves, freakishly easy yet fun final boss, hey everything worked out with that game. Unfortunately its unplayable ATM I believe.

Well, in the category of "poor MK games", my favourite one (and the one i am still trying to understand how it has not gadered a cult following audience) has got to be Mortal Kombat Mythologies Sub Zero.

I mean, the gameplay was kind of hard, you know, they tried to merge the mechancis of a fighting game with a side scrolling plaforming game.... bad call, Boon. This kind of happened the same way as it happened in Batman Forever.... god, that game was weird.

Apart from being a great Batman fan, i don't know what else could have kept me playing it over and over again.

Anyways, MK M- SZ, was a good game, with a great storyline, wich expanded greatly the myths and legends of the already great MK storyline, added some twists and turns to the franchise, and started the side game / spin off / whatever the fuck, MK based game series.

i agree. mk mythologies got an undeserved bad rap. twas a great idea implemented well.
