The first time I heard about him was in 96 when UMK3 was about to come out. I had heard from my brother that they were adding this new Ninja called Ermac.

I also heard that he would be red. That kinda pissed me off because I was always a Scorpion fan [at the time at least.] And I thought Ermac might have a chance at overtaking Scorpion.

But thankfully...he wasn't as big a hit as Scorpion,Subzero, Noob or even Rain.
