Nerfs:

1. Kabal gets cool-down on his IAGB.
- It was hard choosing whether to take away Kabal's zoning or his Nomad armor. Both need to go, but if I had to pick one, I'd take away his runaway game. Now that I actually have an offline Kabal to train with, I realize that the crux of the match-up is that I can't do any damage once he gets the lifelead. At least I can yomi my way around his rushdown.

2. Cyrax's bombs lead to massive scaling.
- This seems like the most logical fix for the resets. If you try to combo off of a bomb setup, your combo will scale twice as much. His Ex-Bombs will remain untouched, so he still keeps his 55-60% bullshit BnBs.

3. Kenshi's Spirit charge gets double frame recovery.
- At first, I was gonna say get rid of the pushback, but that isn't going to help some characters. Right now he has ten frame recovery. I propose we make it 20. If this sound's unjust, an unsuccessfully landed lightning from Nightwolf gives the opponent 90 frames to punish. I'd say I'm being generous here.

Nerfs:

1. Nightwolf gets a command grab.
- It will have all the properties of Cyrax's command grab, right down to the safe jump (a safe jump that the AI can avoid for some reason). Some have suggested giving Nightwolf a low-starter (F+3), but I don't think that'd go nearly far enough (sort of how Quan Chi's high/low mix-ups don't really fix his issues).

2. Stryker gets a whiff punishing special that leads into a combo.
- Kinda self-explanatory. If your chain special whiffs, and you're at sweep distance, you get tased. Then combo'd.

3. Jade gets a faster overhead.
- I'm sort of reaching here. I don't know enough about Jade to really pick a buff for her, but it seems fair to give her overhead staff attack faster startup. I'll let you guys decide if this is a good choice.

Nerfs:

-Cyrax only allowed one net per combo (all problems fixed)

-Kenshi more recovery on Soul charge

-Kabal cooldown on dash cancel.

Buffs:

-Sektor armor with safe frames on block via EX flamethrower. He needs one safe option.

-Sindel dash cancel on regular scream/faster scream.

-Baraka faster normals. Puts him way up the tier list.

I don't know... As insane as those Cyrax resets are, after I saw the latest Sonya MU numbers posted by MIT I think she might need a nerf more than Cyrax... wow

Kenshi and Kabal would be the obvious two nerf victims. I'd like to see Kabal without the possibility to cancel his regular ND. As for Kenshi, yeah spirit charge nerf (recovery frames) seems good.

As much as I'd like to see Kitana's pretty kicks hit mid there are obviously other characters who need buffs more than she does. 3 worst in the game, would those be Kano, Sheeva and Stryker?


I'll post more in this thread, I don't have time now. Basically, I'd like to post what I'd do if I could hack my copy of the game- JUST FOR FUN!

Sonya is a problem. She's hands down #2 in the game if you ask me. The reason I didn't nerf Sonya was the same reason I didn't buff Kano. I don't think changing just one of their properties will fix/save the character. Sonya needs at least 3 nerfs, and Kano... maaan, they need to go back to the drawing board for that guy.

And Sheeva... I could see that character being broken if improperly buffed, lol.

Nerfs:

Kabal.
-Nomad Charge cannot be canceled.

Cyrax.
-Second Net will not come out in a combo.

Kenshi.
-Spirit Charge is -17 on block.

Buffs:

Jade.
+She can Shadow Flash/Glow out of any normal attack.

Stryker.
+Frames before being able to Gun Cancel is reduced from 25 frames to 15 frames.

Sheeva.
+Damage output is increased from 1.00 to 1.33.
(She's a Shokan, dammit!)

Kabal's ability to cancel his Nomad Dash is what makes him unique to play as with his NDC pressure system; I'd settle for Kabal being unable to cancel his Nomad Charge. He will have to take risks when using it now.

Nothing original on the nerfs:

Kabal - cool down on the iagbs so they are more like Liu Kang's or Mileena's ia projectiles

Kenshi - Longer cool down after the shoulder charge

Cyrax - One net per combo.

Buffs
Cyber Sub-Zero - Increased recovery time for his teleport.

Cuber Sub-Zero - Armor for his dive kicks

Baraka - Faster Normals
