Question to the talented gamers and High Level players:

I was fighting against someone and I performed her Tackle move from Military Stance, but, she did something "new":

Instead of just getting up and kicking the opponent far away (who is currently on the ground), Sonya actually remained on top of him and started punching the crap out of him.

Then after the 2 extra punches she got up and kicked the victim (still on the ground) far away.

How in the world does she deliver those extra punches (while in the ground holding the victim) after performing the Tackle move from Military Stance?

The Tackle move is performed by pressing either the BLOCK button or the Attack 1+ Attack 2 or Attack 1 + Attack 3 buttons.

Can anyone please help me figure this out?

I just can't to pull it off again on practice.

When I first got the game I somehow made her do some crazy spinning kicks while on Military stance. I totally forgot about them but I remembered this move after seeing those "new" (which might be super old news for everyone else) extra punches today.

This has made me wonder if this special move is still in the game somewhere:

Skip to 1:42 on the video to see that sliding attack + Fly Kick

I'm loving Sonya's awesome gameplay and I'm particularly having fun with that wicked Military Stance.

Is it possible that there are some "hidden" things/moves besides the obvious ones listed in the Game's Moves List menu?

Or do you think that would be a mistake from NRS's part due to balancing issues? Apparently someone discovered a secret move from Noob Saibot a while ago, so, I guess its possible.

I think when you're on top of the opponent you press FP+BP or something like that. It says it in the Moves List for sure cause that's how I found it.

It's so awesome. tongue Edit: Just double checked and it is indeed FP+BP once you've tackled the opponent.

Just press 1+2 after the tackle. smile As far as the video, It might be a variation of her instant air Dive kick into her overhead kick?

But as people already mention, you gotta hit 1+2 (X+Y)[X360] at the same time, you gotta time it perfectly, like super fast. I was able to do it probably two or three times in my life time playing as Sonya.
Before I knew exactly what it did, the whole time I thought the kick part was part of the 1+2. Until I played a match where I actually did it and she threw in the punches. I was like "OMG THATS WHAT THE 1+2 DO?!" It's really hard for me to do it.

She does have hidden attacks.
When in the Military Stance.
I think it's either [for X360]
Back and 1 (X) or Back and 2 (Y) and she does an uppercut which is great for juggling.

I knew this was probably old news (like I stated in my original post) but I had absolutely no idea she was able to do this.

It is indeed listed in the main menu, but, every time I used to do it she'd just jump into the tackle and not do those punches.

It is easier to do the tackle by pressing block and then hit the 1+3 or 1+2 attack buttons.

I wish I had a picture or video of those spining kicks I saw her do while on Military Stance. It is not that cool kick she does in her regular move set (forward+4 I believe), it was a different style of spinning kicks.

It is a possibility, but, I haven't seen or heard of anyone doing it. It is probably a special move that was cut in the final game.

I know Leo and a few others have been trying to discover the move, but, apparently its not there anymore. It would be cool if it was hidden though.

Exactly.

It is a bit hard for me to pull it off successfully. The first time it was just by random accident and I was very surprised. I check out the main menu but even though it lists it there she only does the tackle without the punches. I have to press it again in order to do it.

Cool! I think the uppercut is listed though.

Anyone seen the spinning kicks?
