Moved, and be sure to write down a topic header instead of leaving it blank, please.

As for the question. Scorpion is the easiest by far to pick up and play with.

I'm going to state up front that this is just my opinion. The last time I played competitively myself was during the original build of the game, but I have been keeping up with EVO and whatnot.

Characters that are easier to use, but harder to win with: Scorpion, Sub Zero, Quan Chi, Mileena, Ermac

Characters that are easy to use, who typically beat out most other characters: Kung Lao, Kitana, Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, Raiden.

Characters that take time to learn, but once you do they range from really good to unstoppable: Johnny Cage, Sonya, Jax, Kenshi, Cyrax, Kabal

Characters to play just for fun, and to typically avoid (at least in ranked matches): Sheeva, Kratos, Baraka, Kano

I have no opinion on the characters I haven't mentioned.

Johnny Cage.

B+3 is one of the best anti-airs in the game, and anyone of any skill level can convert something after it.

F+3, 3, B+3 is braindead. It gives you good meter and I'm pretty sure it hits even the lowest hitbox on block. You get to do it for free after a nutpunch, and it does amazing chip. If you end your bread and butter combo with nutpunch, you basically get free 6% damage afterwards if your opponent blocks after the combo (and that's assuming you don't want to start your pressure).

His dash+2 juggles after B+3 and F+4 do take a little practice, but once you get it down, there's almost no character in the game who you're not competitive against.

A knee and a dream, dude. That's all you need.

That's a harder question to answer then it seems at first.

It depends what level of play are you trying to reach. Are you just looking to pull off some simple combos 'n' stuff or are you looking to play the character to its maximum?

For example, many will say Kung Lao is easy to use. I actually find him 'not so easy to use' OR hard to use to his full potential considering his insane speed and mobility.

I find Reptile hard to use as well, as you 'move him' around the screen in an unorthodox way, heavily relying oh his elbow dash (special move) to move the character around.

Then there's Kabal, who I never even tried to play at a high level. It would take a character I'm crazy in love with (Fujin or Kitana) in order for me to even try to reach those kind of button-pressing execution skills... lol
