Ermac Air Teleport Bug?
I noticed this about a week ago, and wanted to know if this was a bug (has to be, right?).
With Ermac, Jump kick then do (B, D+FP), which should be his Telekinetic Slam, right?
When you do Ermacs Telekinetic Slam input MID-AIR AFTER a jump kick, he does a teleport punch, which is (B, D+BK).
This is a bug, right?

I just tried this, it gets better.
Try doing the jump kick (the same kick used to teleport punch) and then IMMEDIATELY press Down to Back, he does the teleport punch ANYWAY, you don't even need to press the final input button. The bug is that it's registering JUST the "Down to Back" as a Teleport Punch input after an immediate jump kick. Which makes sense being that the input is D,B + 4. So doing a mid-air 4 and then immediately pressing D,B comes out as a Teleport Punch. In short, this is ass backwards button registering that needs to be fixed.

I think this thread belongs in the Strategy Zone.
Interesting, nonetheless.
Edit:I think this has to do with 'negative input' or something where it still considers a button press after you've released it and done a directional.
For instance, with Ermac do 3,1 and enter QCB (down to back.) He'll chain the Tele-slam in with no button press. However, you can't enhance any of these moves if you don't press the button.
It can be helpful. However, shit like this makes it unbelievably difficult to chain longer combos with some characters, as you'll end up doing stupid, pointless specials instead. It's a total bitch with Kenshi, trying not to accidentally do a Sword reflect, as timing some of his moves is quite difficult...

Wait, does it really? I'm bad at thread placement, eh.
Anyway, yeah, this definitely has to be a bug. I guess they just figured if we pressed Down Back after the kick, we'd want to do the Teleport Punch anyways.
I don't know, something about NRS doing a move almost for me kinda makes me wonder what else like this exists in this game...

There's more. Any combo that deals with three attack buttons, all you have to do is press the first attack and then press the last two buttons at the same time and the combo finishes for you.
For example.
Reptile.Cold Blooded combo.
Just press the first button and then the last two buttons at the same time and be amazed.

Its not a bug. Negative input. Learn to work with it. That's all.

What's the difference? In the end, It looks like it should not be there.
*edit*
I just learn that Kung Lao does it too. Press 1, then immediately do Down, Forward. He will do the spin. Which means everyone most likely has this.
The thing is, I don't think I want this to be patched, because I love the gameplay of this game sooo much because of the button registering and custom combos. I'm starting to think in some weird way, by them adding these things, it makes the button registering easier. If that's what it takes to make this game enjoyable for me, then so be it, because I do not want MKvsDCU horrid button registering again.
Nope, not a bug, but a thing called "negative edge".
Try doing some more advanced combos with Nightwolf, he's the king of negative edge (at least among the 15 or so characters I played with, Ermac among them).
It doesn't bother me offline, but it can be very annoying online as the slightest bit of lag will make those kind of characters almost impossible to play with, hence why I'm always hesitant about picking Nightwolf when playing online.

I wrote a thread about this:
Negative Edge Thread
Also, to ensure that a move does not trigger negative edge, you can holding the button for the move that you do NOT want to trigger down when inputting the command you want. For example, let's say a combo ends with 2, and you want to do a special move that is D,B+1 after the combo. But it just so happens that the character also has a move that is D,B+2, which is erroneously triggered by negative edge--you would end the combo with 2, but when you press 2, hold it down, input D,B+1, and after the special has triggered release 2.
Hope that helps.
