I've been in 2 locally, I want to go to a major but not enough money to travel and shit so yeah. I'm stuck here, where there's almost no tourneys.

1st one was in August, at a Gamestop about 15 minutes away from me. I was using Kung Lao. In the first "Pool" that I was in, I bodied a guy and sent him into losers and he didn't even shake my hand after. I was like really? But I lost to a cheap ass Raiden player after in my pool, but I made it to losers semis and lost to a Mileena, but I was happy I made it that far.

2nd one was in August, about 2 weeks after that one. I had learned some new tech with Johnny and used him for my first match I think against a Reptile player. I beat him, and I lost again, got sent to losers, and ended up at losers finals. I decided to use KL and wanna know how I lost? Really? You really wanna know? I paused the fucking game on accident and the guy was a dick about it and I got disqualified. What kind of bullshit is that. I probably would have beat him to, but oh well. Shit happens.

My 1st tourney was fun, I liked going to it and meeting some new people and shit. But my 2nd tourney, I was really salty because of the way I lost.

To be honest, I haven't been to any tournaments, not for lack of wanting to do so, I just haven't bee able to go because Michigan doesn't have a scene in my area(that I'm aware of at least).

I'd just really like to test myself in a non-laggy environment where I can mingle with everyone and just enjoy the game and if people are poor sports, well everyone can see it.

Unfortunately, I haven't been to any tournaments. I don't think anyone plays this game in my country and fighting games in general are not very popular over here. It's all about football/soccer. If you're a guy and don't like football/soccer people here will think something is wrong with you.

I did just become friends over on PSN with a guy from Greece that does have a recording device and a YT channel, so maybe one of these days some of my online matches end up on YT. He said he was gonna record and upload our future matches. I'll let you guys know, so that you can laugh at me.

I also finished university in February and I'm still looking for a job. I'm actually considering going abroad, and boy would I love to come to U.S. and play some MK offline.

Definitely, the salt is too funny. You see, yesterday there was a MAJOR problem with the tournament and it was that Asus monitors were not put in game mode and that created a big lag in the game. With Sub-Zero I couldn't follow the combo after a B1, 2 bounce, and with Raiden when I tried to do B3, 1, 2, only 1 came out. Everyone had to play with lag but some characters are better with lag as seen online.

Anyways I won my first two battles and then lost, I got somewhat salty and decided to use one of my characters who is good in lag and that was Noob. I won my next three battles with him. My third battle was with this cocky guy who was complaining and saying stuff like he was going to win the tourney, etc. Before he fought me, he fought a guy who spammed with Noob and won. When I picked Noob I saw the confidence in his face like this one is free, I just chuckled. He picked Johnny and the fight went on. I didn't lose one round and at the end I fatality'd him. You had to see the expression in his face, his salt levels were off this planet, lmao.

Lol when I get salty I get sooo serious, and put this mad face.

Hopefully, you guys that haven't been in a tourney yet, can participate in one. I would also like to have matches with you guys offline, too bad we live so far away.

You should stop by the States, it's pretty nice here, plenty to do and if you're in the Sciences(Health or Technology) or Business, gettting a job is going to be cake.

No but I'd love to! I'd have to play some and get my groove back first (alas, my copy of Mortal Kombat 2011 met an untimely end at the hands of a brutish beast!)... Uh... So I'd probably use Johnny Cage as my go to (he's my best) and Nightwolf and Kenshi as my backups.

i played local tournaments, ended 4th 2 times :( the pressure killed me.

Hey superbn0va, TYM just uploaded some matches from a tournament that took place in The Netherlands, I saw you play. You did well, you beat Solid_S-14. I played that guy online once and had a really hard time against him. I can't remember who I was playing as against him though, but I do remember him whooping my a$$ lol.

Anyway, man, it's awesome that you guys have a scene there and can play good matches offline without the stupid online lag. Congrats man and good luck in future tournaments!

Thnx! i started that scene with ROBOKOP (shang tsung player) and LUCKY0346 (sub zeo player) @ my friends (nino) house every end of the month. now Project MrE has joined and it gets recorded. we are very happy to have our small kommunity in the netherlands
