So ive been seeing alot of posts about having trouble with Ermac, So me being the proficient Ermac player that i am, ive made this stratagey guide to get around Ermac.
(If this needs to be closed, close it)
NOTE: I am NOT the best Ermac player in the freaking world, but i do know enough to help you out.
Lets get into the basics of Ermac, He's what you call a Versatile fighter, meaning he has ALOT of useful tools at his disposal, such as Specials, high damage combos etc, and he is many, while you are but one rofl, but anyways lets get started
Specials: (Can somebody make it bold please?)
Without his specials, Ermac would be pretty useless without them, also note that all of his specials are useful. Lets start with the first one.
Force Lift - Ahhh yes Ermac's ultimate juggle-starter, ALWAYS and i mean ALWAYS anticipate the Force Lift wherever you are on the stage, because if you don't, kiss 38% of your health goodbye.
Force Push - This is usually used for 2 things: Controlling Space(Zoning) and Combo Finishers, the fact the hit box is so large makes it dangerous, so jumping from a far distance is a no-no (dash blocking is preferable)
Fireball projectile thingy that i cannot name at the moment - Ermac's basic projectile move, it has a slow start up, and is usually used for Zoning aswell, so be cautious be cause it may be just bait for a....
....Teleport Punch! - since the projectile start up frames and the teleport start is the same, Ermacs will try to mix you up with projectile and teleports, and since most of you like to jump over projectiles (You know you do.) the teleport can catch you off guard and set you up for a 28%+ combo, so be cautious.
Air Blast - I dont really need to go over this in my opinon, because its pretty much the same as the projectile except, with short range and well, in the air....
Levitate Smash - Alot of people consider this move usless, but quite frankly, its not, This is usually used to confuse the opponent into thinking you're gonna smash, but end up teleporting to set up a 30%+ Combo Note: ermacs can cancel into Air Blast, Teleport, or just a cancel, so be cautious.
Combos:
Well since Ermac doesn't have so many Mix Ups and limited options. the only thing i can really say is don't let him get the upperhand, since his moves are so slow, they are easily punished on block, but when you're not blocking or you fuck up some how, kiss 30% - 50%+ on the ass and beg for it to come back, also watch out for his F4, ive seen alot of people getting hit by it so always block low, and dont worry he doesnt have any overheads to throw you off.
Wake-Up:
As a Ermac user, i'm always frusterated with his wake-ups, because they are EXTREMELY unreliable, so rush him down, dont let him breathe, but be cautious, some people tend to whiff just a little and and thats the death of them, so block and wait for that opening and continue your rushdown.
Bad Match Ups:
I dont know if its just me, but i seem to have trouble with a lot of Johnny Cages, because he's mostly a rushdown character, he keeps the pressure going and what not and i cant stand that, but if im wrong correct me, other bad matches are: Reptile, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, quan-chi and Cyrax (again correct me if im wrong)
Overall Strategy:
This goes to all characters, dont give Ermac the upperhand in whatever situation, dont let his versatile-ness get the better of you, keep rushing him (If possible), Mix up alot, dash block - ALOT!, and be patient i play some people who are just to fucking happy and that tends to add a loss to their record, also dont jump in on Ermac because his Force Lift is pretty dangerous in that situation....
Well guys i'm out, Hope this is useful to you all, please tell how i did so i can improve it because i wrote this with a pretty tired mind lol... Tell me if i missed anything too. Peace!

I actually agree with you there, minus Cage and Quan Chi (for me)because I personally don't see a lot of them. Man, so many "Vs Ermac" tips! I'm just gonna have to buckle down and do the unexpected with him, or just find me a second main.
Speaking of which, let me just add too (if you don't mind) that players should also watch out for his B1; I know it's slow, but if it charges up completely then it's an unblockable attack, and then Ermac can Lift or X-ray off of it. It's the move where he pulls both his arms back and his hands begin to glow, and then he thrusts them forward, sorta like a force palm attack.

I thought that, that was his B2? B1 is the circular motion punches.
