Alright after playing MK for 2 weeks I've learned alot from expert and from local opponents.

In fighting games we always have strategic, spammers, pro players.

But providing tons of pressure to an opponent will crush them from the inside out.

Spammers:

I've heard every one say block and combo/uppercut which always works! :)
But sometimes when you wanna win kicking that ass get in their face and tear them up! Ermac is the hardest Spammer because he keeps hi opponent at a distance!

But his moves come with a price when blocked he's open. One thing I've keyed on is that when spammers try to back up cuz they can't take the heat. Be sure to sweep them and launch your combo or move aggressively.

Strategic:

Zoning and combos are often used by strategic players. These guys are hard to beat but if you can fuck with their timing it can result into a down to a wire fight.

I've learned in order to punish them you must get them to go all out and aggressive which leads to many openings during the fight. When they screw up be ready to combo look for holes in their defense and search and destroy.

Pros:

I fought against one at a local tournament furious the best players in the land but to tame this beast you gotta be on your A-Game. First they love to take away your X-ray by making use your breakers! ( a great strategy!)

But when I faced off I used endurance combos too keep an edge over HER the pro lol. She plays fighting games and reviews them. One thing to be alert of teleports can be your worst enemy in dire situations. They will combo off of anything they see as an opening such as teleport juggles.

Unless your using a teleport in a combo don't do it his chick hit me with a 60% damage combo because of ONE TELEPORT! Strike pros down with searching for openings and using great oppurtunities.

And dont choose your fave unless your a beast with them. I chose JC because he is one the best pressure fighters in the game. The pro used a versatile Kung
Lao. With all the spins and hat throws I beat her because of the recovery of special moves.

I won by luck because of Johnny cages parry X-ray. But when fighting a pri your meter is important to you as of your health bar IMO.

Best pressurers: (greatest)

1. JC

2. Kung Lao

3. Sektor

4. Sindel

5.CSZ

6. Kabal

7. Nightwolf

8. Stryker

Any questions and I'll be willing to answer grin

I feel that there are some characters that you cant pressure untill they come to you. Generally smoke and scorpion if your own character lacks a teleport. To me there seems to be this expectation that if your really good, you will get close fast and lay into the other guy with combos. However, its clear that some characters are ill equipped to play that way. What sort of strageties do you have, when you cant bring pressure at will.

Smoke and Scorpion are guys that are like Ermac they dont want you very close.

Why do you think spammers use these guys. If you can't get enough to pressure them. Almost all moves have recovery time to do. Try to dash in or wait for them to do a teleport move and hammer them.

Be sure to use block when you dash in. The more you get in the more your opponent backs into a corner then they'll probably use a teleport. When they do throw them back into the corner and punish them.

If they continue to teleport do a combo while they recover. Play to your strengths if pressure doesn't work or wait for a miscue.
