The biggest factor would be hotel rates. I live in Corpus, so I couldn't reasonably drive home after the tournament ends. Evo is only two weeks later, so my budget would be kinda strict.

Also (and I ask this in all seriousness), will there be any drink specials? How much does domestic beer run? Is there a happy hour? Can I drink while competing? This is stuff I'd have to budget, lol. Cab fares would have to be considered too depending on the hotel distance.

It's a one day event just to let you know. There is happy hours but it will be 9 - 2 pm on Saturdays. The beer cost a bit more than $10 bucks. I don't know if there is drink specials, you can contact them about it. I just know if there is a drink not on the menu you can tell them to get it for you.

Yes you can eat and drink beer anytime you want even when you are competing no problem. A lot of guys does it. The bar is really strict about outside food/drink.
