If the developers had any sense, an x-ray attack would cancel out a focus attack.

Besides that, if Scorpion disappeared at the speed he does, there would be no way Ryu's fist could meet with Scorpion's.

I agree. Scorpion teleports so fast I doubt Ryu would have little to no reaction time.

Would have been better Scorp's X-Ray vs Shin Shoryuken in which case I think Shin Shoryuken would win.

Ryu would take full Grey X-Ray damage and if he can avoid scorp for a while then he'll gain it back.

im not saying that it wouldn' work just that with sf doing so many crappy crossovers and not working on their series and with mortal kombnat failer crossover with dc universe{but I didn't think so} im just saying that a crosover like it wouldn't work I mean see how sf x tekken turing out ppl saying that the game will be garbage already and they haven't played it yet so howwould a mortal kombat crossover would make any difference

But you have to remember that it takes 2 attacks to break a focus attack, and Scorpion's x-ray starts with only 1 teleport punch....

^ invalid. The system in SFIV dictates that certain moves break focus attacks. Due to it's nature, I'd have to say an X-ray attack would break a focus attack, glass breaking sound effect and all.

Can the x-ray be parried?

If Ryu is fast enough he could cancel the focus attack in to Ultra, than scorpion's fist has to deal with Ryu's hado-ken or shoryuken.
