Duck down, uppercut punish the shoulder check.
Unless he has meter and the cheesers will use the armored one on wakeup most of the time, block high when you knock them down.

Bait the wakeup if you can.

Also, poke the living hell out of them down 4 in particular, but down 1 and 3 are also lovely.

If all they do is shoulder charge, odds are they cannot deal with low pokes or adjust their strategy to deal with punishing the shoulder charge.

If he's full screen, you can zone him(with caution due to the reflect)., but if these are cheesers, they probably don't utilize actual strategy.

Solid advice from Zero and Espio. Of all things godly in MK9, Nightwolf's shoulder charge wont be a problem once you understand it. Watch his meter on knockdowns, look to punish his naked charges or wake up charges. or just throw if he turtles. Nightwolf is one of those characters that's ground restricted. Make him pay for that shit.

Admittedly though, a lot of this advice depends on who you square off with Nightwolf.

While it might appear that a true shoulder charge Nightwolf spammer has the advantage. Just duck,d+2/ d+1/d+3/d+4 as a counter and then punish his ass. Have a combo finisher that doesnt lead to knockdown state? Use it. I main Mileena so, I love when they shoulder charge me naked and bait for the EX.

When you duck the shoulder you can stand up and punish with full combo not just uppercut. Doesn't matter if it's regular or EX(stand and punish after the first part of EX shoulder).

The same goes for other highs like Jax's dash punch, Kitana's cutter, or even a whiffed throw.

if your playing a good nw he will bait you into a crouching non block and hit you with f3,and full combo.Be careful on just waiting for the shoulder.Same with Jax not so easy if its a high level jax.

Well, you sure would have to be pretty close to NW for that F3 to connect.

At that range, you should be expecting anything but a shoulder charge.

Its a cat and mouse game if a nw player knows your trying to bait the shoulder with ducking it.All i'm saying is with a smart nw player watch yourself trying to bait the shoulder ducking especially within sweep distance.

Why would you try and bait a shoulder charge at sweep distance...

I usually just block and try to crossover, that usually works depending on if the nw is expecting it or not. or i low poke d1 or d4. With cage i wakeup flip kick and kabal i do a wakeup spin or ex spin.

I rape nw with no mercy but I have played a few spammers that just get right by me. And as others have said, duck under.

Sindel can annoy him with fireballs, and flight fake outs.
