Yes, the black holes. Not that they are that amazing. Noob is not really about the popups. He is kinda an anti-social wraith kinda dude and prefers to stay far away from other people by sending his shadow friends to do the talking instead.

I don't really like him at all. Pity, since his trailer got me so hyped for him.
But he difinitley has his uses. Not a bad character to have in your pocket as a counter pick if you facing someone who is a bit projectile-happy (spam is a dirty dirty swear word and should never be used).

User called Microchip plays a very good Noob I believe. I am sure he will have some good tips for you.

Well I played with him online some today and did win some matches. However I don't really like him that much. Could maybe come in handy some time but Idk....

Don't give up hope man. I'm trying to main Cage right now but I'm thinkin of doin Noob next. Check out these videos before you dismiss Noob. He has some ballin resets. They look complicated but are VERY doable.

I played a really good noob player online who would CONSTANTLY throw in Noob's low shadow attack at the end of his strings so when i started to block low he'd combo me with a mid/overhead and start the reset stuff. It was cool to see someone play Noob so aggressively, the guy barely zoned/ at all and was for sure not a spammer.

Noob isn't really about combos, he's primarily a zoner with great mindgames and space control. B1 while slow, has incredible range (for a normal) so you can use that for footsies and spacing. His clone causes pushback and chip on block so that's useful. A successful hit with the clone causes knockdown and you can follow up with a meaty shadow slide. Slide causes stagger which you can use to get free pressure. Upknee is great GTFO me move, and blackholes are great for traps, baits, whatever. And teleport can be used to stop counter zoners and when a good counter to a successful bait.

Noob's biggest damage comes from projectiles and the corner since he has amazing corner combos.
