PDP $21,000 Tournament and EVO Check-In/Head Count.
03/30/2011 04:30 PM EST
Hey all, wanted to make a thread in here for the folks from here at MKO that are 100% going so we can post up and possibly meet, maybe schedule some dinners, and also for us that live here, can possibly provide a room or couch and transportation for a couple of days for those who are traveling to save them a little bit of money. Ballys is about 15 minutes from me. Personally I have a big house for people to stay if needed, and upon me trusting you to come into my home. :) I'll keep a running list of who is planning on attending, also the ones from Vegas that can provide a place to stay for the out of towners.

Also, since most of us are strangers to each other, it's up to the people coordinating place to stay to figure out weather or not they're comfortable and trust the person(s) letting them stay over.

If your going post up your XBLGT or PSNID along with your name so I can add it to the running list.

1) MKO: TortureLegend, XBLGT: TortureLegend
Name: Cory , From: Las Vegas, NV.
Attending both PDP and EVO.

2) MKO: codenamescorpion, XBLGT: R00KI30FTH3Y3AR
Name: Manuel, From: Youngstown, Ohio
Attending PDP.

3) MKO: D4rKeN, XBLGT: VaLLecK
Name: Matt, From: Las Vegas, NV.
Attending both PDP and EVO.

4) MKO: redrum_am, PSNID: redrum_am
Name: Adam, From: Houston, TX.
Attending PDP.

Greetings, Cory, I'm glad you made this thread. I thought for sure I'd be the first one, lol. Anyway, I plan on attending PDP as well, but not Evo unfortunately. My fiancee is looking up prices for hotels, tickets, etc. as we speak. Comin' all the way from Ohio, man, I'm really hoping I can make something happen seeing as how it's my first major-scale tourney ever. How far away exactly are you from the hotel, and can you recommend any sites my fiancee and I should see while we're there?

Yeah man, if you guys are doing some sight seeing and such while you're here there are all kinds of things that are kind of cool to see. Downtown Vegas of course, Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon is only 90 or so minutes away, Red Rock, ect. and I'm about a 15 minute drive to Ballys.

That sucks, lol, if there wasn't money involved you could probably be accompanied by an adult or parent and be able to play, but since there is money on the line there's no way.

Cool, edited your info in the original post. Also registration is open, though I highly doubt this will even come close to filling up. I registered and paid yesterday.

You never know. I was in a major rush to get all this stuff done in one night. I might just end up paying for that, literally, in the long run. Oh well, better to have it done and out of the way then to have something come up later and prevent it.

I thought you were talking about registration/booking. I initially started to just hold off until the end of the week, but decided against it just in case I missed a chance to register for the tournament and/or book a room in Bally's. That's what I was talking about.

Cool, updated.

Yeah man, it's just that there is really no traffic that regularly come in here to see it like there is in the MK 2011 Forum. There was another thread a few weeks back in the MK 2011 forum about this tournament that had a bunch of people saying they were going.

If this thread was duplicated like some of the News Threads and put in the MK 2011 as just a regular thread we might be able to find those other people that were going.

Okay okay okay! Dang! Adding your info to the original post, what's your name btw?

Also, if you do in fact register, correctly, it does give you 2 confirmations, 1 on the site itself, and one through email. I got both and printed it. If you didn't get any kind of confirmation you should double check to make sure you are indeed registered. Did it get deducted from your credit/debit card?

Man I think I registered 3 times but not sure. Nothing out of my bank account and no e0mail confirmation. but I got a web site confirmation. They don't have anyone to contact to make sure. Pissing me off. Hey does that stance change effect anything in the match I mean what is the point of it? I would much rather have a run button. Over!

Wow, yeah, you better check some stuff and make sure everything is good to go.

And no, the stance button is purely for aesthetics as far as anyone knows, doesn't effect game play what so ever, pointless if you ask me.

Well I checked my bank this morning and I see that I have registered twice by mistake. I have read all the rules and they state no refunds but, they do not say you may only register once. So I guess I have two spots in the tourneyment. What do you think?

Pretty sure it can get sorted out at the event, if not, then yeah you have two spots I guess, guesses are you won't be able to use them both.

Will a mod please move this to MK2011, MOST people never even come in this forum. The only reason the MKO Tournament Threads got a lot of attention is because they were linked in the news, this section is a ghost town.
