As for a wake-up, I have no idea. Don't ever use Sheeva but I might give her a spin soon. Having a grappler in the arsenal would be good and she seems better than Jax to me.

I'm not sure about the wakeup move--I cannot think of anything that has a quick enough start up to be effective. However, I watched that video, and something to look out for on the following combo:

B+2,1+2, Grab (B,F+3)

This combo is great, however, it will not work unless you are in a closed stance with your opponent. If you are in an open stance, the Grab will not connect. In open stance, substitute the Grab for a Fireball (D,F+2).

Also, you can control her telestomp by pressing forward or backward to anticipate opponents jumping forward or back when you do it.

Another tip is her X-Ray can be hit from a single combo:

2,1,2 (you can also JP into the combo)

This allows you to confirm the X-Ray.

It's her best move in my opinion, it does 12% so it's like a sprinting uppercut almost. And it always catches people out of wake up, that is if you have good timing.


With Sheeva I'd say try to catch people with her unblockables and air grab, and crouch grab for those idiots who think that this is streetfighter.

I intended to delve into Sheeva at launch but have been enjoying Mileena way too much. (Pun not intended) That being said, Garlador has mentioned how well he has been doing with Sheeva online so you might want to hit him up if he doesn't wander into this thread.

I've read that with the latest patch they added a hyper armor to all of her enhanced command grabs and they added a new combo starter as well.

I hope she's not low tier anymore, that sounds like a really good buff up. And with Baraka already getting buffed up in the previous patch, maybe there aren't any useless characters in the game anymore?

Apparently he is a TITAN with Sheeva. He has mastered her and keeps proving that she is not all bad like most people make her out to be.

Much delayed, but I'll see if I can't come up with a good outline of Sheeva strategies for the future. I'm currently busy grinding for my last achievement, but I used Sheeva to get practically everything in the game that allowed me to use her. Keep an eye on this spot for future Sheeva developments.
