TL;DR - NEC14 was so hype that it nearly gave me a heart attack. Howzabout you?
So if you weren't aware there was a pretty big offline tournament recently called Northeast Championship 14 (NEC 14) that ran from Dec. 6 - 8th in Philadelphia, PA. For those that didn't attend or get to watch it on stream, it was full of extremely hype matches, a variety of character representation, large number of entrants from East/West/Mid, and is being called "one of the best Injustice tournaments to date." Most signficantly, this is the first major offline tournament since the recent BIG v1.06 Injustice balance patch released by NRS.
Aside from just being an exciting tournament to watch there's a lot of buzz around the aftermath involving the resurgence of the game. Tier lists have been turned on their head, longtime MK9 vets were dethroned, matchups are being completely rethought, and overall it's rekindled the fire for a lot of the scene.
So, I was curious what the community of MKO thought about the tournament. Did it reinspire you to check out Injustice? Did you get to watch it? Have any favorite moments? All of it is fair game.
