Has anyone found out the difference between Quan Chi's Trance and Mesmerize (the enhanced version of Trance)?

Edit: Hmm... should have googled that before it seems. It drains the opponent's Super Bar (didn't show up in training mode with full super bar enabled... duh). Ah well, case closed!
