So ive gotten Cyrax to the point where he is very dangerous. And im trying to work on Sektor. Anyone got any tips so i can use to be a Dangerous Sektor?
Im hoping a particular Sektor User will contribute to this thread. You know who you are!grin

Mix your two missle attacks.

Wake up with Flame Thrower.

Toss in occasional throws.

Teleport when you have meter, safe on block, combo off of pop up if it connects.

Sektor's X-ray Combos are pretty good, if you're into a ton of damage in one short burst rather than a bunch of damage in a continuos string of attacks then you should choose on how you'll manage your meter.

I would use his low attack combo and end it with a teleport, then do what ever the hell you want with the air-borne enemy. I think thats the easiest to land combo of his.

also, I recommend almost always using forward triangle/Y to at the start of the round for the first hit, as it goes right into the opponent and is fast as hell. It usually gets them unless they jump, but they won't hit you because it has good recovery. also back + Square(the hand booster move) is VERY important if you want to really mess someone up, it has a ton of priority and range and the actual connecting hit isn't from sektor's body and it pushes him back a bit making it almost completely safe to throw out if you do it right, it hits enemies out of the air and out of most moves.

jumping backwards then teleporting mid jump usually throws off rushing opponents with bad defensive techniques because they probably don't know or don't expect that you'd do a tele in the air.

his crouch electric punch is really good because it makes him duck and its very fast, it will catch most people off guard if you're good at spacing or reading movements, and if you're fast enough to cancel into flamethrower or another special move/X-Ray.

the leg lift into jump kick is not useless, even though I seem to be the only Sektor user that knows its an overhead and I use it to taunt enemies.


up missile is pretty damn useless outside of just mixing up projectiles, but the EX version is magnificent. I rarely use it unless me and the opponent both have low health and I need a guaranteed hit, so that if they block it high I hit'em low or at least chip quite a bit of health off if they manage to get too far away.

his chest explosion combo is an overhead, use it on crouching opponents because it seems like no one knows this. all of his knee left combos can be cancelled into a telepunch and this move should only be used when you're certain you can land it.

I hope that helped a little bit, I don't really have an advanced way of playing him because I freestyle most of the time with no set combos besides one or two X-Rays set-ups and even then sometimes I add or subtract moves from the strings.

Away FK, BK is a nice low starter. I like this combo: JIP, BP, FP, Tele, FP, BP, EX Tele, BK, Flame Thrwr. Can't remember the hits and damage. The FP, BP, away+FP combo is a nice pop up.
