Sub-Zero 40% X-ray damage - glitch?

I performed Sub-Zero's x-ray by itself (no combo, no freeze) and it said it did 40% damage. This have never happened to me before. Has anyone else encountered this? I know his x-ray normally only does between 28 and 33% damage (can't remember the exact number).

Notes for the fight:
-Hard difficulty on arcade mode
-Opponent was Skarlet
-The X-ray depleted her life bar (which was less than 40% full I suppose. It looked around 35% full)
-It was the first round of the match I believe

Again, this was without a combo.

You wanna know what's weird? My bro did Sub-zero's X-ray one time and it only did 17% damage( he did it the same way you did, no combos or freeze involved). It has to be a damage glitch to go to both extremes.

Yeah I had this happen to me before but it was 39%.

I also did a 4 hit combo with reptile and It said It was 34% damage?

hahaha dang! I guess Reppy really is top tier? lol. It'd be so freakin funny if one of these things happened in a major tournament
