Moving to Matchmaking.

Ranked matches most of the time took forever to find when the game first came out, I don't think that's an indication of too much, I also see the same familiar faces still playing in many of the actual rooms that have been playing since online for PSN was restored, so I can't say a lot of people dropped it; however, I can say that many are beginning to move on, other new, great quality games are coming out now too and as great as MK is, many have gotten to do all they wanted with it, after nearly 6 months of being out.

I've reached my peak for how good I'm going to get with Sonya and Stryker, but I'm trying to use everyone else that I never use (Cyrax, Kano, Quan Chi) and still learning the little tricks for Sheeva as well. I'm not bored with the game, but my zeal has just calmed down significantly, it's a ton of fun and I cannot imagine playing any other MK game, aside from some sense of nostalgia, the rest of the games feel so clunky and unfun in comparison.

I still play almost everyday though, but that's because fighters are one of my favorite genres, I am starting to play Infamous and Saints Row 2 more soon, but MK will probably be a frequent fixture for me for at least the end of the year, Assassin's Creed Revelations for Christmas and all

People like myself and like 90% of the online community, like playing in rooms....Ranked Matches are boring imo.

I'll have to give that another try then. In the past when i tried to play in the rooms it was either join a laggy ass king of the hill game or play someone with a shit connection and inevitably disconnect.

I'm thinking this myself. Even though every fight I get in, they're a total fucking scrub it's better then not finding a fight at all.

Cool now every SINGLE one of my matches disconnects. 9 out of 10 times at the select screen. I spend up to 10 to 15 minutes waiting for an opponent only to have it disconnect. Fuck this game's online, jesus fucking christ. Its annoying cause maybe tomorrow it will work reasonably well but sometimes it straight up does not work at all, like today. I feel like im in an abusive relationship, sometimes mk treats me right but other times it completely leaves me out in the cold and fucks me over, lol.

Really trying to stay interested in this game buts its hard when the "game" consists of a spinning logo with the occasional need to press A because the "game" has disconnected. So much fun...

Do you play on 360 or PS3?

I'm on 360. I think I've heard PSN is better but I really have no idea how valid that is.

I never bother with ranked, because of precisely what you're complaining about. Rooms are more viable for actually finding someone to play against, you just have to ignore the text spam and the kiddies comparing their e-peen sizes.

I'm on the PSN, and Chaosrealm is always packed for me.


I don't see the point of ranked matches, and if I fight someone really good I want the ability to rematch them.
