Seriously?

Only one MK moment? (I won't spoil which one)

I would wager this was made by a MvC3 fan. Also, if that one Tekken moment was the most exciting Tekken got...well lets just say I will use that in my arguement for why MK should NEVER EVER go 3D again.

Some moments I though should have(could have at least?) made it MK-wise; 1. 16-Bit performing the first ever fatality on the bigscreen at EVO and crowd going nuts.

2. That awesome winner's belt being brought out.

3. The giant salt shaker getting shook on Chris G (was good entertainment value)

There are lots of them, but I will let you guys come up with some that you felt were better than those mentioned in this vid.

I honestly don't see how people play MvC. I'm not epileptic, but I came really close to having a seizure the whole video.

LOL, I thought the exact same thing when I first saw that. If that does not give you epilepsy, nothing will. I do own a copy (hardly play it though) and it's not as bad when you are playing it yourself and focussed on the fighting.

I will say that comeback win by Tronne is pretty awesome. For those unfamiliar with MvC, imagine Baraka coming back against Kung Lao in a tourney match.

How is performing a fatality worthy of making the top 10 greatest moments at EVO (especially after it had been done more than once)? Or showing a salt shaker? Or bringing out the winner's belt? None of these are gameplay related.

But I agree that there were a lot better moments in the MK fights that could have easily gone over some of the chosen moments in this video.

Thanks so much for keeping us posted on all the tournament info, this is a great victory for NRS, tournament fighters, and the fans for sure.

I didn't watch MVC3 tourney, the game overwhelms me when intermediate players are playing, I fee like I'd have sensory overload watching pros play.

I need to watch the Tekken stream, I really like Tekken, but OP

I'm surprised MK only had one of the top ten. some of the top ten were kind of meh.

PerfectLegend's flawless victory had my in shock, I was like...dat Kung Lao is ridiculously deadly.

I was a huge fan of the major comeback in Blazblue, amazing stuff.

Some other good moments, but almost all of them were from MVC3, if you combined all the MK, Blazblue and Tekken moments, they're still less than the MVC3 ones, dissapointing.

THIS! I honestly could not depict one single thing that was happening during the MvC3 battles. It just looks like someone put a bunch of colors in a blender and turned it on. I do remember one battle where a guy killed his full health opponet with just a little pixel left...that was pretty cool.

Even though I agree that list is horrible, MvC3 and SFIV had crazier and more intense moments than MK or any other fighter did

I'd say that's because they, by their nature, are crazier and more intense in execution. It's like Super Smash Bros. with all the items and Pokeballs cranked up to 11. Beautiful chaos exploding all over the screen that can turn the tide of a battle faster than you can say "damn BLUE SHELL!" in Mario Kart.

And there's a place for that. I love flashy fighters with seizure-inducing special attacks, fireballs of ludicrous size, and more unnecessary yelling and in-game commentary than any game should ever warrant ("OPTIC BLAST!"... miss that.)

But I confess that the sensory overload turns me off those games. I like MK's pace, being faster than most 3D fighters, but slower than most spazzy hyper-sugar extreme to-the-max hardcore Japanese fighters. It gives me enough time to plan ahead without resorting to twitch-instinct gameplay akin to a caffeine-addled squirrel playing Ninja Gaiden on Master mode, yet it's fast enough that thinking about your move for too long gets you a nice uppercut to the face.

To each their own, but having seen the EVO streams, I could name at least 10 moments from MK alone that would warrant inclusion.

MvC3 was made for hype. It's too exaggerated.

Sadly, I didn't watch any of the MK EVO moments.

Hopefully I'll find some links that saved the whole event to enjoy. I do remember seeing one where the crowed goes wild with a Fatality (was it Kitana's?). I think that one should have been there instead of this silly flawless victory combo.

As horrible as the tekken tourny was at EVO because EVERY SINGLE fight had at least 1 bob character or 2 bobs facing each other.... There is over 40 characters and everyone picked bob and law which made it so boring and dumb.

But in the finals of the tekken there was a good match, the only good tekken match in the entire tourny. It featured a DOUBLE K.O which was cool to watch in the finals and it featured a new character Miguel who was actually chosen and kicked some ass.

Sorry I'm only replying to this now (No internet over the weekends most of the time) but I want to explain why I chose that fatality as my top moment. Regulars would know I am all about the gameplay so I did not pick a fatality because I think they are cool, or hard to do anything like that. For the most part I agree with not doing them at tournaments because it slows things down and proves nothing (unless it's a bablity, lol).

However the Fatality has always been MK's "gimmick" and the thing people talk about. No MK games were shown on the bigscreen from the earlier rounds (I believe) so here comes 16-Bit in his match. People have just been bored to death by Tekken. Crowd is getting hyped for the game (something most of us have been hyped for since MK1 but untill now never really had people outside of the MK community give much attention to) and off they go. A good close match, really getting peoples attention and then BAM, Fatality. Crowd goes crazy (remember this would be the first time some of them even saw a fatality) and 16-Bit goes even crazier! Dude is jumping up and down, doing his best Kano impression, just great stuff. So nice to see some showmanship and just an allround feel-good moment for me and I'm sure a lot of MK fans.

As for the belt: Moment setting MK apart from the rest of the crowd. No other game's developers took the time to have a unique prize made and then come and present it themselves. Awesome.

Saltshaker : I'm sure it got plenty of use but yea, I just found it funny. Prob not worthy in hindsight.

Also, for MvC3, what gives it so many opportunities to feature in this sort of thing is the comeback potential in that game thanks to the 3-on-3 gameplay. Anytime it's down to 1-on-3 people will scream and shout if you pull it off. Does not make it less impressive, just pointing out that it will happen lots.

1- Poongko (Seth) vs Daigo (Yun)
2- Latif (C.Viper) owning almost everyone
3- Perfect Legend (Kung Lao) vs Reo (Mileena/Cyrax)

In that order. That was EVO 11 for me.
