Listened through the whole thing. Very informative. The morality debate at the end was unnecessary imo. The jabs at the "casual" fans was just stupid. Casual fans are into the fatalities yeah, but calling the majority of MK players that don't go to TYM, UMK, CMK or SRK casual bloodthirsty morons is over the top.
Really wondering what he discovered with Raiden....

I listened to the most of it. It got boring later on when they started that moral debate. I agree, they were kinda disrespectful towards the casual players.
However, the part were they discuss characters' gameplay was very interesting. It was a nice surprise to hear that Sub-Zero is the best (according to the guy). When I play Sub-Zero I usually do the ice clone and stay right behind it, funny though the guy said that's not how you play Sub-Zero, ouch. I do other stuff with him too, but yeah, ice clone is my main strategy.
Funny how Shang Tsung turns out extremely vulnerable to CSZ. I was happy to hear that Kitana (my main) is a very solid character (and annoying one to fight against :p).
It seems like the game is nicely balanced considering the only shitty character is Baraka, with Sheeva being half-shitty, so that's only 2 weak characters, that's not bad.

I did at first. Subby is my main. Subby is best with the clone in the corner. Teleporters, you can bait them to block+uppercut. If the person tries to jump over it, you can uppercut them back into it or back into the corner and start it over again. If they think about doing a move, slide.
Subby's slide is his most power attack in my opinion. The clone gives you breathing room but the slide is the main ticket. If you land a slide, you can setup the clone and get closer (which you get the person into the corner and start the clone setup). It goes underneathe most projectiles (depending on what part of the animation you are in). It has invincible frames from wakeup (if you don't lay there). Ice clone makes you defensive but really it's not the best strategy. Finding ways to mixup with Freeze and slide is the best in my opinion.
Well I think Tom Brady is my new favorite tournament player personality. He was really informative, intelligent, and funny as hell.
I really hated that shit where that jackass was saying "The krypt and fatalities are dumb gimmicks that are made to divert away from the gameplay." Really. I'm pretty sure it's called making a good game. I don't want a bare bones experience like MvC3. Sure the gameplay is the number 1 aspect. But I want something else to do. Great gameplay is what the game should have just as a start, in this day and age.

Wow I posted this podcast interview in the MK 2011 forum and it quickly sank into the murky depths of forum oblivion without a single response. Looks like I was hanging out in the wrong forum.
Anyhow regarding the interview, I too was impressed with Brady's knowledge and powered through a pretty shittacular podcast just to hear some of his nuggets of wisdom. My biggest unanswered question is the why involved in declaring Sub-Zero the best fighter in the game. I really wish Brady would've gone into a bit more detai about Subz but he got side-tracked talking about glitches and double-freeze properties.
