It's great to punish jumpers too and can lead to a full combo if the timing is there, a really great tool that I don't utilize enough.

It's because if you fail to guess you can get combo'd yourself.

That's true, I used to attempt it when I first started playing because I like the Volleyball spike effect, but then I would always get uppercut so I somewhat disregarded it after that point.
