Both are unappealing to me, but I voted Reiko only because he was heavily involved in the comic. I was kinda shocked he wasn't in MKX.

Reiko. Kai is just really forgettable imo, I liked him in MK4 but not so much in MKA. I do think he could be saved/redeemed though.

Voted Reiko. Didn't care for him much pre-MKX but they really made him shine in the comic. I'm all for him being DLC or in MK11.

I still like Kai. He has a lot of potential, but I really hated what they did with the character in MK4. If they bring him back I want him to be a full on capoeira fighter with tribal tattoos and shit. The MKDA concept art they had for him was amazing, bring that stuff back.

Reiko! Loved him in 4 and loved him in Armageddon. I'm glad he's so important in the comics. I have my own head canon where he's kind of a crazy sarcastic asshole. It's glorious when I imagine him talking to the current cast.

I didn't really care about Kai in MK4. He looked a bit bland for my childhood tastes. I really like his Armageddon redesign thought.

I picked Kai because he's so underrated. He deserves more love. I like him much better than Liu Kang, mainly because Liu has become such a whiny bitch now.

Armageddon and the MKX comics have proved Reiko's worth. NRS just needs to tighten up his gameplay concepts and bring him back for a glorious return in 2D.

Kai has a long way to go. Like any MK character, there's potential, but they've failed to capitalize on it.

These two were basically the same for me until the comics. Generic in every way.

But, like everyone else said, the comic made Reiko into his own character.

Havik has so much potential. I like the direction the MK team took with the character. If they moved forward with that idea instead of making him disappear like they do with most 3D era fighters, he'd be more recognizable than he already is.

WTF why is anyone voting for lame ass Shang Tsung??? He is so boring. Everything he does, Quan Chi does better. He is also generic as fuck.

Havik is oozing with greatness. He has a unique look, a great moveset, and a lot of storyline potential. The comics have made him even better.

Havik was a character I thought was a shoo-in for MKX. Obviously NRS likes his concept, and he's a big fan favorite. Unfortunately, like a lot of the characters I had hopes for, he was relegated to a comic exclusive character. I'd like to see him in the next game, at the very least. I hope NRS has the sense to not kill him off, too.

Havik has a good character concept and design, but needs to prove himself as a playable fighter. Shang Tsung is an icon of MK. I like Havik very much, but Shang Tsung is the incontrovertible winner here.

Havik is awesome and it sucks he wasn't introduced again in MKX after his appearance in the comics. He would have some cool ass moves with himself mutilating his body and such and I hope he gets to be playable in the future.

With all that said I still voted Shang Tsung because he's still one of my all time favorites. Old man Tsung. Young Tsung. Doesn't really matter to me. Tsung is a badass and I hope he gets some redemption too since he hasnt been mentioned ever since the incident on MK9 aside from little Easter eggs and references in the mirror matches of some characters.
