It was his influence that led to Sub-Zero's scar as he shifted pawns in a game to control the kamidogu. His scheme of blood magic was ended by Scorpion. Will Sub-Zero finish the job, or descend into further madness? Choose their destiny!... FIGHT!

That seems severely misguided. I don't think Nightwolf is a negative stereotype at all.

Anyways, I voted Nightwolf and I voted Havik. I like Kuai Liang a lot, I genuinely believe he should be the protagonist of the entire MK series, but Havik should be a mainstay of the series. As a dude who started out as a Noob Saibot alt costume, they really fleshed him out and made him interesting.

Havik better win this, he was insanely impressive in the comic.

As much as I believe Havik should be in the game, I found his 3d era antics to be too over-the-top goofy. And yes, while I agree his comic book appearance was impressive, I do not count the comic book at all when factoring any character. The comic book had as much to do with MKX as it did with Street Fighter v Tekken - absolutely nothing. Hence I do not factor his comic book appearance and actions at all into this decision.

I would like to see Havik back. But Sub-Zero needs to resume the role he had in the 3d era as a central protagonist in the series, rather than a background helper good guy. Boon's seeming dislike of the character, I believe, has held him back storywise. He should've had a more major contribution to MKX, especially after the Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei abandoned the past formed an alliance.


The current poll results, with Havik having a significant lead, is typical of this fanbase - Havik has potential but has never had any impact on the series whatsoever. But because he is not here and hasn't been playable, he is immediately getting knee-jerk "He should be in the game" votes.

It's just hilarious how non-americans think they know how native americans are and then say that Nightwolf needs to be re-imagined. Any of you non-americans ever been around real native americans?

I like what they did with Chief Thunder in KI...they actually met with members or a real native american tribe and had them have input on his redesign so that he would be somewhat accurate, I believe it was the Nec Perce tribe they worked with for his redesign.

It turned out awesome too.

Voted Havik only because this is predictably becoming a ninja love-fest once again.

However, his role in the comics ended with a resounding thud when it was shown he was merely Quan Chi's lackey (that inglorious skull stomp), while truth be told, he hasn't done much in the games either.

I don't have a problem with ninjas doing well because they are some of the best characters in the game but its a real shame because there were a lot of good non-ninja choices after MKX. Shinnok, Sonya, Kotal, Goro, Erron, D'Vorah could all have been good characters to get through.

This one is gonna make me sad either way. I love both characters. Fuck it. I'll give Havik the "he should've been in the game" vote. Sub's got this one anyways.
