Mortal Kombat: Deception Has Gone Gold!
Midway Games announced today that the next game in the Mortal Kombat series, Mortal Kombat: Deception, has officially gone gold! Again, "gone gold" means that the game is finished and the gold master copy has been sent to the publisher for mass duplication. From the press release:

Game Informer Posts Gamers Day Demo Video!
Game Informer has posted the demonstration of Mortal Kombat: Deception as hosted by MK co-creator Ed Boon at Midway's Gamer's Day event in San Diego. While this is the same demonstration shown in an earlier video posted by this site, GI's video has a much better shot of the screen, and as such, is quite a bit clearer.

The video is in MPEG format, and is 84 MB in size. You can download it by clicking here.

Mileena Treats Us to Another IGN Fatality Friday!
Before you start lusting after Mileena's polygon goodness in Playboy, you better check out the next round of Fatality Friday from the good folks over at IGN.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead!

Mileena's fatality is perhaps the goriest we've seen yet. Like the ravenous beast she is, Mileena removes her mask and lunges for her opponents jugular. With a swift snap of the jaws, she succeeds in decapitating Sub-Zero, spitting his head out for all to see. She then finishes with a seductive pose and a bloody grin.

To see the gore for yourself, head over to IGN.com.

Though this fatality has already been showcased in the many Mortal Kombat: Deception trailers, it's still a treat (pun intended) to see the full bloody ordeal again.
