Interactive Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
Joshua Garret sent us word that he is working on a program designed for Windows called Interactive Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance (for those who remember Interactive MK Gold, this will be very similar but for MK: Deadly Alliance instead of MK Gold). For those that do not know, Interactive MK: DA will be a program on the computer that tells you all the specials moves, codes, Fatalities, etc of the game. Obviously since the game won't be released till September, this program is a few months away from being released. Philadelphia Inquirer features Adema in MK: Deadly Alliance
The rock group Adema, who will be supplying the new track "Immortal" exclusively for Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, made headlines today in the Sunday edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer with a cover story in the Arts & Entertainment section of the paper. The article explains recent trends of gaming companies mixing today's popular music into their titles. Here is a snippet:

Adema is part of the growing wave of contemporary pop musicians creating original music for video games, a tradition whose earlier composers-for-hire include David Bowie, Trent Reznor, Rob Zombie, and Mark Mothersbaugh. And with artists as diverse as Ja Rule, Sum 41, NoFX, No Doubt, Jurassic 5, Ozzy Osbourne, Rage Against the Machine, P.O.D., Hoobastank and Britney Spears now turning up on games in some form, even the Grammy Awards' soundtrack categories have been expanded to include game music, though none has yet been nominated.
