in his ending it says he was orderd to kill shang tsung before the two oni kill quan chi...but i now have 4 questions:
1.does shang tsung die?
2.does quan chi die
3.how can moloch be sent to kill quan chi if moloch is dead?
4.will the answer be in mortal kombat 6?

1.does shang tsung die?
-no jax kills him before he gets there(according to his ending)
2.does quan chi die
-no reason to believe so
3.how can moloch be sent to kill quan chi if moloch is dead?
-where in HSU HAO's ending did moloch get killed?
4.will the answer be in mortal kombat 6?
-there is no real question

Just because you beat Moloch in arcade mode doesn't mean you beat him in whatever character's ending.
You face Moloch in arcade mode simply because he is the sub boss.
The story part really starts when you have completed arcade mode and you are viewing your characters ending.

Remember, in all the MK games, the continuation of the story is based on a character's "what if?" ending. The ending you are shown when you finish it with a certain character is what would happen if that character was to win the tournament or defeat the bad guys, whichever it happened to be. So to continue the story of Hsu Hao in MK6, you'll need to assume that Hsu Hao was the one that actually beat Shang Tsung and Quan Chi in MK: DA.
I'm willing to bet he isn't, it's probably Sub-Zero, Sonya, Kung Lao or Bo Rai Cho. It might even be Reptile, who knows, the Dragon King may return in MK6. Now THAT would be kickarse...

Dude, I've completed the game with everyone.
Sonya dies in Kano's ending, not her own. I her ending she rescues Kenshi and Cyrax from Outworld, brings them back to Earth and is appointed leader to start the next inter dimensional expedition.
Sounds like sequel material to me...

CorrezZ Wrote: True... but one thing still troubles me... the MKDA tournament who set it up? the Deadly Alliance? If so, WHY? They allready had the power 2 rule anyway right? Correct me if I am wrong... |
Because they needed souls, I think. Look at Li Mei's ending, hers was the last they needed. So, I'm guessing they either ran out of souls from the heavens (although it's supposed to be limitless?), or they need souls of strong warriors.

CorrezZ Wrote: Typical MK story line, so many holes, U can see right through it... |
That's not exactly true. Before MK:DA came out, many thought that Liu Kang was to have a connection to the Dragon King, but it ended up being Reptile. And also, who would have expected them to have an ending where Liu Kang's soul goes into Kano's body? Not many people.
With holes I ment that alot of things just doesn't seem to fall in place, just like the 7 sub's, they always just make something up 2 "fix" the story lines togheter...
And Lui in Kano's body seems really really lame, I sure hope we don't see Kano sporting spandex tights with a red headband in the future...

and mortal kombat doesn't have many plot holes, just take everything with a grain of salt, u will learn it soon enough, dont fret because u didn't like someone's ending, fret when their bio for the next game is lame

I think:
1- Kung Lao Killed Shang Tsung. Well, not for nothing Bo Rai Cho thought him the kicks.
2- Drahmins ending could happened, so Quan could be dead, or alive. I dont think any earth-warrior defeated him.
3- In Mavados konquest it says he defeated Kenshi, Sonya and Jax, but they are all alive. Jax escapes to kill Hsu Hao, but Kenshi actually almost die.
In Sonyas ending they tell us that she rescued him (Kenshi), he was hurted from what seemed Hooksword marks, (Mavados weapon), so Kenshi never reached Tsung in time to kill him. So, Sonya saved Kenshi and was promoted General.
