I was thinking, with the (eventual) upcoming release of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (just when you thought the SFII titles couldn't get any longer), what would you all think of an HD remix of one of the classic MK games through the MK-UMK3 days? Personally, I'd love to see an HD remix of MKII, but I know some others would rather go for UMK3. But basically, I think it'd be great if they went "old school" and brought in actors to play the characters, recording all the moves using 1080p HD cameras. Plus, have Dan Forden work on remixes of the classic background music tracks.

Basically, I just bought a PS3 and downloaded MKII. It's great playing it on a 1080p HDTV... but damn, do those pixels stand out. I just thought it'd be a fun idea to see it in true HD. Thoughts?

Well, SSFIITHDR will come with the option to play the game in "classic" mode, I don't see why these couldn't either.

considering half the actors aren't in good standing with Midway and it would cost a lot to re-capture the footage... Not even to mention the hardware MK ran on was a mid 90s set up that probably can't even support HD I'd say it's a pipe dream.

What would be cool and relativley easy is if they coded the emulator to render everything interpolated so instead of the pixels standing out, they'd blend into each other and give everything a smooth as silk look.

They did it on Xbox Live with Double Dragon and at first glance I thought they remade it in HD
