Anyone else have issues with MK Trilogy (PC)?

I dug up my copy of MKT for PC and when it asks to auto detect my graphics setup it ends up locking my system up.

Anyone know of a workaround of sorts? I doubt a game made in 1997 is going to be able to recognize a circa 2003 video card.
